I figured this belonged here, since its a rant on music.

WHERE HAS THE REAL MUSIC GONE!?

Honestly. All the newest "stars" can't even sing. They're pretty, they're appealing to teenaged girls or boys. Thats about it. Their music is edited the heck out of and complimented by digital touches, or -cough- should I say, digital remastering itself. Or, digital lets make the song over.

If you listen to a ton of the Disney stars live or taped live, your brain will probably melt. I mean, honestly, what ever happened to real singing voices? And songs not about clubs and "hot girls"? x_x The music industry today is absolutely destroying the name of music.

If you listen to a lot of the adult or NOT Disney, or Disney related artists live: Singing voice.

Go listen to the latest things on the radio, you get: names on a cereal box and songs about clubs.

Music from the heart?

Whats that?

Singing voice?

What?

So, debate.

I just thought about techno. I mean, techno is a genre of itself. It shouldn't be heavily incorporated into Hannah Montana or Fall Out Boy! Sometimes I feel thats what they're trying to do.

Thats why I dont listen to most Mainstream, I like older bands such as Nirvana. There amazing both in recording and live.

I agree with that statement.

 

I like anything but Disney. It's ok if they have some minor adjustments. But Disney is just annoying and fake. All they do is take a good looking young teenager and make their voice sound better.

 

I also will not listen to any music produced by someone under 18. Seriously...

Party like a Rockstar? Real rap?

Listen to Lupe Fiasco, Tupac, Wu Tang, Three 6 Mafia. All I hear in Party Like A rockstar is "All the h*es wanna get wit us" and honestly, I don't get it. They only talk about how much money they have, how much girls want to get with them, whatever makes them look good. Sure, it's rap, but it's not saying anything.

I don't understand how you can say Soulja Boy is not real rap and that Party Like A Rockstar is.

Ok, so now on topic. Um. There is real music out there. But you just have to find it. Music's out there. But we're the ones shaping the music. We're the ones who decide what get's played. If nobody liked Soulja boy, do you think he'd be on the radio so much? No. That's why he's not played on the radio that much. Because we're the ones who decide what's popular or in. If we promoted more good bands, better singers, then they'd actually get played!

Sadly, it is rap. Why? It just classifies as rap.

I do listen to it but I overaly prefer Tatu, Evanescence, or Paramore.

Wait...Didn't Panic! At the Disco produce their music when they were 17 or younger? What about Paramore? THey were younger than 18 too when they produced their music...Does that mean you won't listen to them? I'm just wondering/making a point that youth doesn't make it horrible...

I get what you're saying though, but just face it, the world is absorbed into a modern society.

Without it, we'd still be listening to panpipes and harps. It's just how the world matures.

I think the only GOOD music these days are some FOB songs, My Chemical Romance and P!nk. But hardly any girls in my school like them, they only get obsessed with Disney stuff. Seriously, I liked the old Disney better with the cartoons and stuff. I think Goofy and Mickey are the best singers.

What does annoy me is that in music shops in the 'metal' section I find stuff like My Chemical Romance, Paramore and Fall Out Boy.
