Getting 2 Pet Gerbils..

For my passing present, my mom was thinking about getting me gerbils! I'm really excited and I was wondering if you had any good tips on like playing with them, building their cage of even any stories is you have one.

I personally think that gerbils make bad pets. Mine hates people.

I have had many rodents, they stink. They die easily. So you better take good care of them!

Congrats on getting gerbils! Rodents are so cute, I have 2 hamsters of my own. (I was actually planning on getting 2 gerbles too! But one thing led to a next and I got hamsters)

Yes, they do stink Xo but to prevent this, clean their cage no less than once a week. Maybe even two. Also, if it's really stinkey- set out some lit candles (but not too close to the gerbils!)

Gerbils rock. I love them x3 I could give you hours of advice for caring for them, but instead I will just direct you to THE best gerbil forum out there - the Mongolian Gerbil Websites gerbil forum. You can google it easily.

I heard that you should never use pine bedding for ANY rodents- it's poisionous.

I heard the gebils don't stink, and they clean themselves, but I could be wrong.

Hopefully I get them soon, I'm very excited. Also, I think you need at least 2 or more or they'll die of loniness, hehe.
