Well not Forensics as in dead bodys, as in Public speeking

Heres mine I one second in confrance.

Hello. I am here today to award the Nobel Peace Prize to the media for it’s wonderful role it plays in influencing our youth. Congratulations to the media! Our teenage pregnancy rate is up 97% of cacasion females suffer from eating disorders and the crime rate continues to rise. Good job your almost done with your plan to take over the wold.

We are told by the media, “Do not attempt to re-enact the following” but we do anyway. And what happens? People end up getting killed, hurt or arrested. The media can be a bad influence. It shows us dangerous activities that can harm or kill us if we copy them. There are teenagers and children that copy these stunts because they think it is really cool. Some kids do not have good judgment and can not decide if something is safe or not. For example, a boy set his friend on fire after seeing it on a popular TV show. The friend suffered second and third degree burns all because of a TV show. Another girl started cutting herself after seeing a girl on TV do it. Think of how many people went anorexic after seeing super models on TV. What does the media want from us? Do they all want us to die? If we die, then they have no business. Do they all want us to be super thin women covered in cuts? It is like we are puppets to them, just waiting for their next command: Go steal something, go rob a bank, lose weight, gain weight, drink, don’t drink, smoke, don’t smoke, whatever. I’m getting confused, what do they really want us to do?

While sometimes the media can be a bad influence; sometimes it tries to be a good influence. There are plenty of educational shows that no one watches. I mean, who watches PBS? Barney, Barney is good but no one above the age of 2 or 3 watches it and by the time you are 12 or 13, you forget what they taught you. There are several cable channels devoted to family friendly viewing such as The Learning Channel. What Not to Wear tells us what we shouldn’t wear but what they tell us to wear, we really shouldn’t. Should we really wear clothes that make us look like honey bees? They probably think dressing up as fish or marshmallows is fashion; they better have a warning on there saying. “Do not attempt to wear any of the following outfits!!!” Just a warning, if this is fashion, take care of the cloths you have. The newest TLC show is called “How to Look Good Naked”. Is that family friendly? What are they trying to teach us here? Can someone please tell me? What about Animal Planet? Animals are always dying. You are sitting eating your dinner, flip on the TV and there is a dead gazelle. Now that’s appetizing. That’s how they make us anorexic. Have you ever seen Meerkat Manor? It’s like the Soprano’s but its meerkats. They have mobs and battles.

So good job, hats off, you’ve done it. Or have you? Everyday people relize that the media is bad and this speech might just help.

Thank you

Yup. We do a lot of them at school. It gets annoying after awhile. XD

You have an interesting topic there.

Though what you say makes sense, the children and teenagers that copy the stunts they see on TV should be supervised by a parent, because they are obviously not responsible. The parents control the household and what they watch. Some kids are just stupid. Same with anorexic girls.

Just because the media shows stupid things doesn't mean we're all going to go extinct. There are /some/ intelligent people in the world.

Animal Planet. People need to learn about what happens in Nature. It happens, people need to learn. You can change the channel, you don't have to watch the gazelle die. It's not going to make you anorexic to watch a gazelle die.

Meerkat Manor is actually educational and a good show. It does show mobs/battles, but it happens, and once again, people have to learn.

The media isn't entirely bad, and those sort of channels are easily avoided. We have a remote for a reason, the parents can just click a button.
