Fireworks night is some thing that happens in England. (I'm not sure about Scottland or Wales but they might know about it if they don't celebrate it). It's also known as bonfire night and Guy Fawk's Night.

*Edit: Guy Fawkes night is on 5th November (and celebrations usually take place on that night, plus the Fri/Sat of the weekend before and after 5th) * TamaMum

I can't wait, we are having a display with my family, my best friend and her family too. It'll be in our backgarden. :furawatchi:

Many of you know that I live in North London (it's in my profile anyway...) :(

I live near Alexandra Palace and every year there's a huge, free fireworks display at Ally Pally although I usually watch only a little from my garden.

We used to have a dog and I always stayed inside with her. She had to be very heavily sedated as she was totally petrified by fireworks (so you can imagine what she was like after about 4hours of constant fireworks going on around the neighbourhood).

Seeing your pet suffer like that kind of takes the fun out of enjoying fireworks

I'm not sure yet, I'll probably go to my boyfriends and see what our friends are doing. But like TamaMum my dog doesn't like fireworks and he gets really scared by them [which isn't like him, he's usually hyper and happy] but my parents will proabably stay at home with him. But when it's time for bed he'll probably have to sleep upstairs because he'll be howling/barking all night on his own downstairs.

I think he's only scared of them because he was outside doing his business when a firework exploded right near him about a week ago.

I went to a big fireworks show with my friend. :)

It was so awesome.

They are so pretty, but really dangerous in the wrong hands. ¬_¬

I never knew they did it in New Zeland! We're having a display in our back garden on Sunday night and then let off a few on the actual night. I'm looking forward to it.
