Yes, it does. You login to Tamatown.com with a login generated by your Tamagotchi. Playing games and such gives you points. However, you cannot get more than 9900 points in one visit, therefore the original poster is a liar.

Using Nephiel's script works if you want to cheat a little bit, though.
