Duplicate Items

This works in Music Star, I'm not completely sure you can do this on other versions as I only own V5, V5.5, and V6. Okay, here goes:

1. Get two Tamagotchis to use

2. Bring one to the 'GIVE' option

3. Bring the other to the 'TAKE' option

4. Pick your item to duplicate

5. When both are on 'STAND BY' press on the one holding the item so it goes to 'CONNECT'

6. When the other Tamagotchi says 'CONNECT' pull them apart so they can't connect

 

If done correctly, the one recieving the item should get it and the one giving should be on the 'FAIL' screen.

Nice! I wish I can try; I only have 1 music star, and I can't connect with the previous versions I have (They just won't connect....).
