I found this by accident after some encounters with Download. Here's a few tricks I've been meaning to post on here for a while.
If your tama is dying and making death sounds, press the reset button then download. Your Tama will be sick, have 0 hungry and happy hearts,, but he/she will be alive. If your tama is already dead, however, this will not work. It's basically CPR of the Heimlich (arent those the same thing XD).
Another I like to call the Character Trick. When your Tama is evolving, and between the pixels you see a character you do not want, in the split second while the screen is still flashing hit reset and then Download and your character will be the character it was before the Evolution and you can try again until you get the character you want.
