Tyler walked home pondering on the ideas how to get rid of her clone.
‘Lock her in the shed and burn the thing and waft the smoke inside…’ She thought ‘no…This is too risky… Melt it and dilute it with water, then pour it into her mouth, yes…’
Tyler sat in the bedroom glaring at the clone who only scowled. She watched her all day and until the replica walked out the door into the garden, possibly to pick more deadly nightshade. She put the concoction into a large pot where her mother uses to boil soup and filled it with water. She left it boil for hours knowing that she will not get caught, since her father went to Tokyo for another concert and her mother is going to the shop to get some more milk and bread. There she sat on the sofa with her face in her hands she thought of her friends who have now hated her, all because of that evil thing that lives in her house. She checked on the bubbling pot and found the ball had dissolved into the water, giving it a pearly sheen. She carefully dipped some of the elixir out and put it into a small glass bottle and sealed it with a cork.
That night she slept in her walk in wardrobe, locking the door tight. Tyler was so eager to hatch her plan that she could barely wait. After a few hours she heard some snoring come from the bed. She carefully tiptoed out of the gloom and carefully uncorked the bottle, letting out a little squeak, mostly triggered by fear. She tipped all of its contents down the clone’s throat. But right after the last drop, the clone’s eyes flickered open and gleamed bright red. Tyler dropped the glass bottle onto the floor, landing with a muffled thud against the carpet. The Doppelganger let out a shrill cry and swooped up on Tyler, revealing its true form, having its UraTogetchi wings stretch towards the ceiling. Tyler stiff with fear, scrambled down the hallway and towards the front door. As the Shadow advanced on the poor Chantotchi, the entire room disappeared and Tyler found herself standing in total darkness. The whole time Tyler was being chased, the Shadow grew bigger and bigger. It stared at her through one red eye and let out a loud cackle. Very quickly, the red eye quickly engulfed the darkness. When the eye faded away, Tyler was falling through the sky, when she was an inch away to her doom, she found herself in her bedroom covered in sweat and tears.
Tyler looked around and found no trace of the Clone or the Shadow anywhere.
‘Tyler, Darling you have a present from your father.’ Emmelyne said, as she poked her head through the door. ‘Is something wrong?’ Emmelyne cooed. ‘Err…nothing, nothing. Just a bad dream, that’s all.’ Tyler Explained. ‘Well that’s good, here is a present from your father.’ Emmelyne replied, handing Tyler a parcel. Tyler ripped open the brown wrapping paper and cautiously opened the lid….
Inside was a CLONE!
Well here is the last chapter of the story Doppelganger. I apologize if the story isn't very good. Thanks for reading!
