Don't Forget To Say I Love You
The air was crisp and dry. Everything was still as far as the eye could see. Everything, except the sun. It was slowly rising, letting beams of pink and orange light the sky. Fugi watched in amazment, wondering if anything in the world could be so beautiful. Tama-Planet was a magical place, unlike any other. Fugi the Kutchipatchi was so greatful that he lived on such a planet. He lived there, with all the other tamagotchis. It was very peaceful planet, and was calm and collected. The creatures there were known as Tamagotchi. They grew crops, raised families, travled......just like us humans. Fugi breathed in, and out; taking in the wonderful scenery around him once more. He jumped off the rock he was sitting on, and walked away.
"Is that you Fugi?" asked a rather creaky voice. "Yeah Mom." Fugi answered, drying off his feet from the dew. "Come here a moment!" Fugi walked into his Spanish-styled kitchen, and saw his mom sitting at the table. Her eyes were wide and almost scary looking. "Sit." the said sternly. Fugi quickly sat down. This must be serious. "We need to talk about something." Mrs. Gotchi (Fugi's Mom) said softly. "I didn't think we'd have to, but we do. It's a dangerous place out there Fugi. Yes, very dangerous." "Dangerous? How so?" Fugi interuppted nervously. "Don't interuppt me!" Mrs. Gotchi snapped. "I'll continue. It didn't use to be dangerous until planet Earth contacted us. The message was eerie, and we didn't understand what they were saying. They sounded like they were talking in a different language. Anyhow, we did translate some words. The words were: Bandai, tamagotchi, capture, egg, humans, care. These aren't good signs. If our studies are correct, this company 'Bandai' is going to take us hostage and give us to humans. It is no longer safe out there, Fugi."
"This.....this is shocking news." Fugi stuttered, barely able to believe that his life could be in danger. "Also," Mrs. Gotchi said, "You will no longer be allowed outside to see the sunsets in the morning. It is far to dangerous!" Fugi leaned back, astounded. "Wha-at!? No way. I love watching the sunset. It helps me live through the day. The world is so beautiful and peaceful in the morning when the sun just begins to rise." he cried. "I know you do dear. I know. But it's far to dangerous. I do love you, you know...." Mrs. Gotchi said, a hint of guilt in her voice. Fugi said nothing back, but casted her a nasty look and stormed out of the house.
He ran through the streets, and every step he took he seemed to get more frightened. He was beginning to wonder if maybe he should have stayed home.....he didn't feel overly safe. Suddenly, a large hand appeared in the sky. It lowered down in front of Fugi. Fugi screamed in terror and started dashing away. "I want this one." said a deep voice. Fugi wasn't quick enough. He was pulled off the ground and was rising through the sky. Mrs. Gotchi appeared below him, sobbing. "I told you it was too dangerous! My baby! Please be safe!" she shouted through sobs. She had witnessed everything. Fugi started sulking too, and before he knew it everything turned black.
When he awoke, he realized he was no longer in the sky OR on Tama-Planet. He was sitting in a small egg-shaped container. A face with freckles peered at him through some sort of plastic. "Hiya!" it said, smiling. The face disappered after a few moments. Fugi soon learned it was a human, and what Bandai was and why tamagotchis were being taken to Earth. And after a couple of days, he didn't mind being stuck inside a little egg-shaped container. Even so, every night when he was lying in his small little bed, he'd cry. Why? He never got to say "I Love You" back to his Mom. How did Mrs. Gotchi know if Fugi loved her or not?
So please, heed Fugi's advice. "Always say I love you to people who you care about as soon as you can, because you never know if you'll ever get the chance again."
