And so we talked all night about the rest of our lives

Where we're gonna be when we turn 25

I keep thinking times will never change

Keep on thinking things will always be the same

But when we leave this year we won't be coming back

No more hanging out cause we're on a different track

And if you got something that you need to say

You better say it right now cause you don't have another day

Cause we're moving on and we can't slow down

These memories are playing like a film without sound

And I keep thinking of the night in June

I Didn't know much of love, but it came too soon

And There was me and you, and then it got real blue

Stay at home talkin' on the telephone and

We would get so excited, we'd get so scared

Laughing at our selves thinking life's not fair

And this is how it feels

Chorus:

As we go on, we remember

All the times we had together

And as our lives change, from whatever

We will still be, friends forever

So if we get the big jobs and we make the big money

When we look back now, will that joke still be funny?

Will we still remember everything we learned in school?

Still be trying to break every single rule

Will little brainy Bobby be the stockbroker man?

Can Heather find a job that won't interfere with her tan?

I keep, I keep thinking that it's not goodbye

Keep on thinking it's a time to fly

And this is how it feels

Repeat chorus

La, la, la, la; yeah, yeah, yeah

La, la, la, la, we will still be friends forever

Will we think about tomorrow like we think about now?

Can we survive it out there? Can we make it somehow?

I guess I thought that this would never end

And suddenly it's like we're women and men

Will the past be a shadow that will follow us round?

Will these memories fade when I leave this town

I keep, I keep thinking that it's not goodbye

Keep on thinking it's a time to fly

At school we do this thing where we all stand on the side of the hallways and all the year sixes and people leaving walk around and we are all crying :) ! It is so sad!

It's the Vitamin C's Graduation. :) That one of those songs that got instantaneously added to the list of end of year/departure/graduation songs. Green Day's Time of Your Life is another song like that. They are emotive and when in the right context are meant to bring all those happy, warm and fuzzy feelings out about your peers. :D

OMG we had that same song playing at our year 6 Farwell on Friday.

Everyone stood in a circle and the 6th graders cried and hugged each other.

????? What country do you live in? we dont graduate to the next grade till may!!

At the end of 6th grade we have to sing it at our banquet

They played that at my kindergarten graduation, me and Ashley (my kindergraten best friend) went and bought the CD, cause it reminded us of graduation and of our friends.

That GreenDay song is the song that my brother had for his grade 8 graduation (last year, now he's in grade nine, im in grade 8)

That is sorta sad... but I have never had a graduation (I don't have one until grade 7) so I guess I don't really know how it feels... by the way I live in Australia.

It can be a sad song when you think of what it represents, moving on and such but it is a nice song. A sad song is If I Saw You in Heaven

would you know my name

if i saw you in heaven

would it be the same

if i saw you in heaven

I must be strong

and carry on

'cause i know i don't belong here in heaven

would you hold my hand

if i saw you in heaven

would you help me stand

if i saw you in heaven

I'll find my way through night and day

'cause I know I just can't stay here in heaven

Time can bring you down

time can bend your knees

time can break your heart

have you beggin' please

beggin' and please

beyond the door there's peace I'm sure

and I know there'll be no more tears in heaven

would you know my name

if I saw you in heaven

would it be the same

if i saw you in heaven

I must be strong

and carry on

'cause i know i don't belong here in heaven

'cause i know i don't belong here in heaven

I cry when i hear it. It is very sad when you know what it means, his son died.

Very........oh how can I put this.....it was very touching. It didn't form tears in my eyes, but a spark of retreat bounced from my heart. It made me think about my future, and what it holds. v.v
