Different Versions

There are many songs that were sung by one person/band then remade by another. What do you think of this? Do you think that the original is often better or vice versa? Just curious

I hate it, most of the time, haha.

In my point of view, Flo Rida sorta ruined the original ''Right Round'' thinggo which was sung by someone I don't remember.. but yeah.

And I heard Flo Rida also sings a remix type of thing to ''Blue'' by Eiffel 65. The original is love, but I should really youtube the one which Flo Rida sings (if its not him, then I am such an idiot).

Um... well, on Punk Goes Pop Vol. 2, just about every single track beats the original, besides for Baby One More Time by August Turns Red. (I think August Turns Red..? Or something, lawl x3)

My Chemical Romance did a WONDERFUL remake of Under Pressure. <3

The Cab's version of Disturbia is amazing, along with Fall Out Boy's version of Beat It, and Panic!'s version of Karma Police. <3

I also think it depends. I think Marilyn Manson's version of "This Is Halloween" pwns P!ATD's. There's rare times I like both versions. Usually I like the version I hear first, sometimes not though.

I just learned that 'Dat new new [Viking remix]' is so much better than the original.

I usually hate the song to begin with. Most of the time I prefer the new one because they make it more recent and up with the times.

I prefer re-makes where they change the lyrics and mock it. [Cobra Starship's Hollaback Boy and I Kissed A Boy in particular]

I actually liked it more.

The Blue Remix that Flo Rida Sings is called Sugar. I'm pretty sure that only the chorus sounds like Blue. It sounds okay.

Since U been gone By A day To Remember is a favorite of mine.

Well... Avril Lavigne recorded "I Will Be" years ago, and late last year/early this year Leona Lewis sung it. Avril's version is better.

All the songs off the Punk Goes Pop albums are SOOO amazing.

Like, I'm a big rock/punk junkie, but I also love all those popular songs by the pop artists, so it's awesome to hear both of them crash together to make something sound 10x more amazing.

A Static Lullaby does a great version of Brittany Spears' Toxic. It's to die for.
