Different Tamagotchi's

The U.S. happens to have only six colors ( From what Ive seen) Japan and Hong Kong seem to have cooler ones. If I pick one up off ebay will there be anything different. I mean I have the english book for it. Could I use that. I also wanted to know what styles you've seen and where I could get one that wasn't so plan. Thank you

Theres really nothing diffeent, except people like the japenese ones better, they say the programming is better, and has less kinks, also the americans are based on the half lifes, and they become adults at age 3-4 and japenese ones become adults at age 5-8, and you can get the at Ebay, or sites like playasia.com,
