Connection IR prob please Help

currently I own a tama that is 0-2 yrs old but everytime i try to IR with my fren which is the same age as me, we failed

is there a certain time frame we have to pass before we can IR? currently tamas are teens

is it because you're always pressing the buttons when you connect and you dont stop? What you have to do is that you only press the middle button 2 times max.

The other suggestion is that take your Tamagotchi out of the sun. I tried to connect in the sun, and it doesnt work.

Well:

1) As a baby stage, soma Tamagotchis dont connect, like the V1 ConneXions or most Japanese Tamagotchis. USA tamas seem to be excluded.

2) Are you sure the Tamagotchis were close to each other? Maybe there was something (eg-laser, remote control, something in between) that was stopping the IR from connecting.

3) Tamagotchis dont connect well under bright lights, Sun, in extreme temperatures, so maybe try connecting in a sheltered and dry room?

4) Are the Tamagotchis genuine, as in, not fake?

5) Are they different versions? Or amybe you aren't selecting the correct options. Some Tamagotchi versions dont connect properly with others, maybe that is the problem.

If none of this works, maybe try and find out which Tamagotchi "has" the connecting problem. Try connecting to other Tamagotchis, check the IR is ok. If not, maybe its a glitch, in which case it would be better to take back to the shop and ask for one that works correctly.
