Connectinh Tamagotchi Mix and Mix 20th Anniversary

So i have ordered a new tamamix 20th anniversary and while common sense mandates they should be able to connect, seeing how one has totally dofferent characters with different genetics I had to ask: does anybody know if theyre able to connect?

Also, anybody know if theres a 20th anniversary growth chart or guide out there?

I have both and they can definitely connect.

I don't think any charts are out yet. I'd love to know what locations are available for the anniversary edition because I don't think I managed to unlock mermaid palace
