Connecting help!

Hi there. I am new to Tamagotchi ConneCTIon, I had the older version of tamagotchi and just got introduced to the connection... however, now my friend and I each have tamagotchis, however, when we press the button to connect, it just says "stand by" and after a minute of supposedly connecting, it just kind of shuts off... no "connection failed" or anything. The tamagotchis are not fakes, am I doing something wrong? Should we debug our tamagotchis? Please help! Thank you

Hi, I might be able to help. SO you and your friend both go into the connecting window and it says Connecting or whatever it says right? Well YOu need to hit it around the same time, Not just one of you can hit the middle button, You both need to or else they won't pick up each others infrared beams! ALSO I FORGOT SOMETHING VERY IMPORTANT!!! when you hit the little connecting icon and it says standby. YOU BOTH HAVE TO HIT THE MIDDLE BUTTON AGAIN WHEN IT SAYS STAND BY, remember once you go into the thing and it says stand by, its ready but you havent sent a signal yet until you press the middle button again! Now i hope i helped Im silly lol.
