Hi there,

Yes, I am kind of new here, and by the way, it's nice to meet you all.

Anyway, I have two Tamagotchi Connections, a dark purple one, and a light blue one.

But I've been looking on eBay for a Connection Version 2, because I am impatient and want one now and won't wait another month. How immature, I know, but they look so cool. Anyway... So I found this one particular seller on eBay who is selling about 15 "Tamagotchi Connection Version 2's." However, the packaging on these guys look a whole lot different than the ones I've been seeing available in the United States. The packages that this seller is selling does not show the new features (i.e. "Gotchi Points," "New Games," etc...) Instead, it looks exactly like the old ones, only saying "Version 2" on the top.

But then, I read it again, and they're coming from Singapore. So, here's my question:

If I decide to buy one of these, will I be getting

A) A Version 2 Tamagotchi with all of the new features, different from the American Version 1's that I have, and,

 A Tamagotchi that can be read in English?

I emailed the seller, but have yet to get a response, and the auctions end relatively soon, so I thought I'd come to the "experts" for help. Here's a link to the auction if this helps anyone to determine what I'm looking at:

eBay Auction - American Version 1 Ripoff, or Authentic Version 2 from Singapore?

And here are the American packages that I have seen:

Really pretty NEW American Version 2 Tamagotchi Connection

So, do you think the Singapore one is worth buying? Or should I just wait? Because no doubt the American ones are prettier, but who knows when the American ones are actually going to come out? And also, when they DO come out, I bet they're going to be such a pain to get, because they're going to be sold out EVERYWHERE, and thus will be even MORE expensive. I'm tempted to bid on the $19.99 ones. LOL. Anyway, does anyone have any advice for me? I'd appreciate it. Thanks!

They're okay. fine. I have one that was packed like that, and i live in australia. The instructions said connection, but my tama says connexion. maybe it's a conneXion packaging, not a conneCTion packaging.

Anyway, it's not a ripoff. It's the true stuff. :D

yup.. those from singapore are genuine.

i live in singapore and visit the toy store frequently.. no worries. i have one like that too.. the menu is in english, and yes. they are just like those sold in aus :D
