They call it the TMG+C. (or tamagotchi plus color.)

wow, i actually didn't know about them. I'd heard about them but i didnt know what they were. i wish the normal tamagotchies were in color. that would totally rock!

Frankly, I think the TMG+C is rather gigantic. I know that it needs to house a lot more technology for the color screen, but its size in comparison to a regular black and white Tamagotchi is kind of ridiculous. It's like twice the size in heighth and width.

I think I'll wait to buy one until they come out in the U.S., and until they design them a tad better.
