color or id?

I really want to buy one of the colored tamagotchis.and ill have the money as soon as my stuff sells. anyway, the id is a bit more expensive than the color. is it worth the extra money? which one should i get?

People ask these sorts of questions all the time. My response to them all, is, buy whatever you want. Its your money, your Tamagotchi. However, you should research both products, so that when you finally make a decision, you can be sure it was the right one. Good luck!

No! Both the ID and the Color are in Japanese. The ID has more features than the Color.

@memetchirocks2122321 actually, the iD is in Japanese as well, as far as I know.

@Zzgs The iD allows one to download files from a Japanese cell phone (the phone downloads the files from a mobile website, and the files are sent to the iD). On Tama-Zone (Look under "Japanese-language Tamagotchis"), some users have figured out how to send the iD files from a computer to an IR phone and from there to an iD, or even create their own files to send to an iD (That's pretty technical, though, and unofficial).

You can also dress your Tama up a bit, and there is a "TAMATOMO" function where you earn different Japanese characters (as in the symbols that make up the language) by discovering your adult Tama's favorites and such. The ability to plant trees outside from the Color I think has been removed (I don't have any of the color Tamas).

The Color, I think, is probably simpler in its list of activities, but tends to go for less than iDs on eBay, since they are an older kind of Tama.

If you want to save some money, and are not really willing to try to download items or create items, then you may wish to get a Color instead (The Hexagontchis are even less expensive on eBay, though there is quite a bit of Japanese language in sections that could make playing it difficult for foreign users without a guide).

The ID has a variety of new features such as a resterunt, a dohnut shop, and a clothing shop. Also there is the TAMATOMO feature which is like the happy sighns but there are only 4 of them. It also has a few few characters! Also note that is has a rounded back, unlike all other tamas. Besides that, it is almost the same as a color.

The color is alot like the V3. It has all of the V3's features (Excluding the lights, online, training, and donate features) plus a new "wash" button. Every time it wakes up (Excludeing the baby's nap) it will be one stage dirtier. It will continue to become dirtier untill it is dark black. You can also remodle your different rooms to out of 6 styles (One of them is defalt), visit sevrial places in tamatown, and plant trees in the backyard (Grows in 3 days). It also has the happy sighns feature. There are various ways to get them but each one will raise the happy meeter's max. When all seven are found, you can go to the kings palace and play a game that pays x5 the other games (Other games pay 100 max)!

There is also a second verson of the color called the Exile. It is just a color with the ability to meet the members of the popular Japenese band Exile. But it has been discovered that by the use of a code, the color can meet the band too, makeing the Exile more of a collectors item than a unique tamagotchi.

Lastly the Hexagontchi it just about identical to the color but throughout your tamas life, it will be visited by a game show host who will ask your tama one out of about 100 questions. If you cannot reat Japenese, I highly discurage getting this tama!

Overall as long as you steer away from the Hexagontchi, I think you will be OK with any one! Below is a chart showing how they rank in price (1 being the highest)...

My final word on it is this, I chose the color for it's rather simple outline, but if you perfer more featurefull tamas, I recomend the ID!

I have the iD..and its sure is fun to have..but I want to have a color too..so I can compare both..
