Can you do Clay animation? I can! ^.^ If you don't know what clay animation is well...Clay animation is an animation thingy that makes clay move. If you want to know how to do it well...

Step#1

Buy some modeling clay.(Don't use Play-doh!)I suggest modeling clay that never dries out and you can use over and over again. You also may think about buying sculpting tools. If you're doing something pretty big. For now since you might be beginners just use your hands.

Step#2

Make a storyboard. A storyboard is like a comic, it includes the characters, what they are going to do, and what they are going to say. So basically make a comic.

Step#3

Make your characters and all the props. Make sure you have found a nice place to put them. And make sure you have made a backround. Set them up. You might want to get some wire so when you are going to make your character move his body parts don't fall off.

Step#4

Download this softwareStop Motion AnimatorAnd get a webcam. If you want sound get a microphone.

Step#5

Start animating! This is how you animate

Everytime you want to make your character move you move that part of the body a little then grab.(You need a webcam for this)And you keep doing that and then when you re done. Click done.

There you go! Get ready to animate and follow these easy steps!

The longest animation that I ever made was 181 frames. Now that is long! I spent like an hour on that!!

For more information either PM me or go to these sites. Animateclay.com, Clayanimator.com, and Clay animation station

SM^.^

I've never heard of clay animation but it sounds so cool. And 181 frames is very long! You must have worked so hard on that!
Me either. Unless it's what they do on Wallace & Gromit? But still it sounds fun, and I like Wallace and Gromit!

Can you show us your clay animations?

I'd like to see - they sound really interesting! :)
