Can my V6 Music Star connect with my V4? V2?

I just got a Music Star and Im trying to connect it with my v4 and v2's but it wont work. am i doing something wrong or are they just not compatible? ^_^

The tamagotchi music star can only connect to v5's and a few tamagotchis in the future. (V7,V8,v9) The version 5 can only connect to v6 too.

This is due to so many updates on the v5.

V5s can only connect with themselves, or V6s and V6.5s, or Music Stars and Music Star World Tours. The V6.5/Music Star World Tour will be released August 2009.

Also a few Tamagotchis in the future might also be compatible with V5, like V7, V7.5, V8, etc.
