Boys and Girls only Group Hatchings

I have a funny feeling that these boys and girls only, mainly girls only, group hatchings are not appropriate for this section and I have looked at them and many seem to be turning in to clubs or little chat boxes for people to spam in. Also, finished group hatchings should be closed by a guide because open, unused topics can lead to minature 'spam rooms' where members will find a free space and post anything because it it not being properly looked at or tracked by the members of the group hatching. I am sorry if there is already a similar topic, but I have seen so much of this in the group hatching section I decided to make one. For anyone who needs help, there is a pinned topic on group hatchings which you can refer to for any needed help.

I agree... there a lot of girl/boy only topics...its not just hatchings. Also people bump old topics and then a lot more people will reply saying ''stop posting!'' but it only takes one person to say tht, ot 50 of you. Both f the above become small chat rooms or spam fests. If you want to chat use the PM system or tamachat and not a bumped or misused topic. I totaly agree with you TP...

I agree even more, I forgot to say, if someone bumps a topic (which they shouldnt) ONE person asks them to stop and contacts a guide to close it and NO MORE people will add comments until the GUIDE clarifies what they will do.

You are right that Group Hatchings should not be limited to Girls only or Boys only :furawatchi:

This information is already pinned - in the TamaTalk Rules (see link above)

#9 clearly states that all Contests, Clubs and Even Group Hatchings should be open to all members.

Group Hatchings can only specificy Version or Type of tama...

We also have pinned topics about Bumping old threads, spamming in topics, using topics as chat rooms...

I appreciate your concern about this problem - but have you two not noticed that your thread just turned into a mutual back slapping "chat" about not just the topic - but yr avvies, etc.??? See how easy it is to do? LOL

I am not going to pin this topic because we already have rules and other pinned topics trying to prevent most of these situations. One more duplicating the request is unfortunately not going to solve the problem

I do think the Suggestion forum might appreciate your idea to close / delete Group Hatching notices older than a month for example - to keep down the chat and spam - and to give TamaTalk more site room on the database!

As it was your idea tamagotchi_pal, why not post it in the Suggestions forum?
