Blocked out status screen on Tamagotchi P after english patch

I successfully did the english patch on tamagotchi p-blue...but then noticed the status screen is blocked out...I cant tell when he is hungry or how much money have ...nothing!!!. Please help of what I can do. I have tried resetting but it wont go away.
