Part 21-1
'I can't believe she listened into my conversations. She knows everything now!' Victoria shouted angrily. I heard Baines' footsteps. He was returning from wherever he had taken Vicky.
'Oh well, who cares,' Baines replied, 'She will die.' Victoria gasped and I heard the sound of her head hitting the ground. She must have fainted. I was scared for her. Infact, I was even more scared than her. I heard them whispering to each other. The first person to speak I didn't know.
'We need a new password,' she said. I adjusted my position under this coat so I could see them perfectly.
'We do. How about, hmm...' Baines replied, not ending his sentence. There was silence for about 30 seconds but was broken by Victoria.
'The world is quiet here,' she suggested. Baines frowned at her before replying.
'You can't steal things out of books you have read,' Baines commented. I remembered. Lemony Snicket's A Series Of Unfortunate Events. They were asked a password to get on a boat and it was, 'The world is quiet here.'
Part 21-2
After much discussion, they finally decided on a password. 'Friend, not foe' they decided. I saw Baines sharpen a sword ready to go and kill Vicky. He had picked the sword up from a table. It must have been used for some sort of experiment. Despite the fact that they were all wearing glasses, I leapt out to save Vicky.
'Leave Vicky alone!' I shouted. Baines turned around to see me. A look of rage appeared on his face.
'You listened in to all of our conversations! How dare you!' He came towards me with his sword. Luckily I was a brown belt at karate which meant I had some quite good moves. I leapt on a table and off to the direction I had heard Vicky being dragged off to. I was fit too, so I had no problem running faster than Baines and his crew. There was a long narrow pathway. I ran and ran before coming to several cells. One of them had Vicky in! And two others had my parents in! Baines had captured my parents! Baines was gaining on me now and I could see the sword in his hand. Using my newest karate move, I grabbed the sword off him, slashing all of the brass metal locks freeing the prisoners.
