Part 18
This man wasn’t wearing glasses either.
‘Master Albright?’ he said, pointing at me.
‘Yes, Alfonzo,’ Vicky said, ‘Just give him the briefcase.’ This man who was wearing a mask, gave me a black briefcase. I turned to Vicky.
‘Double sight and find somewhere private.’ She’d answered both of my questions. I thanked Alfonzo and me and Vicky walked on, trying to find somewhere private to open the briefcase. Vicky seemed to know what was in it but wouldn’t tell me. She wanted me to open it for myself. I found a deserted waiting room and sat down with the case. I pushed the button to release the catch and it flung open. Inside it were several leaflets. I looked at Vicky and frowned. She realised that I didn’t understand what I had been given.
‘Leaflets,’ she whispered, ‘They explain about your condition.’ I glared at the several of paper then turned to her.
‘Thanks,’ I replied, ‘I’ll find them useful.’ I was kind of bored of this, I wanted some action like earlier, a chase or something.
‘I know what you’re thinking,’ she said, ‘You want to try and steal the visibility glasses and the machine that makes them. Right from under Baines’ nose.’ I smiled at her. She knew how I thought.
‘Why are we sitting here then?’ She shouted, ‘Let’s get up, go, go to Baines’ secret hideout and take them. Come on!’
