Part 17
‘Leap!’ I heard Vicky say. We both leapt forward and found that when we landed, we were holding hands. I heard a loud explosion and turned around only to find a massive hole (about the size of the one made by the weight dropped by Baines) in the floor. We picked ourselves up and continued running, still holding hands. We desperately needed to get out of here.
‘There’s a bus station, not far from here,’ Vicky explained, ‘They’ll be a bus that goes by my house soon, we’ll get on that.’ I nodded and thought up my next question to ask Vicky.
‘So how many people have the glasses that can be used to see me?’ I asked. Vicky un-coupled her hand from mine and counted using her fingers. Within a short period of time, she came up with an answer.
‘Oh, only about 250,’ she said. I gasped. 250 people that could see me!’ I had another question.
‘How did Baines make those glasses?’ I questioned.
‘Easy, he just put a led from a microscope in each pair of the glasses. It focuses on things really carefully. Although it costs a fortune to make, ghosts can be seen really easily.’ I was upset. Baines could make as many pairs of glasses as he liked! As we turned a corner we arrived at the bus station. It was massive! By the entrance there was a man waiting to greet us, holding a briefcase in one hand and some sort of weapon in the other.
