Part 15-1
I woke up in a laboratory. I had tubes stuck into my face and infact every part of my body. Out of the corner of my eye, I could see Baines talking to a scientist.
‘When can I take him home?’ he asked. The scientist paused and thought.
‘Tomorrow,’ he replied, ‘You can take him home tomorrow. But yeah, you must keep your promise. Give me a pair of those glasses and give me 50 to give to my friends so we can watch out for him. I began to think. Was I hearing what I thought I was hearing? Was Baines really going to give those glasses to the scientist. Then everyone would be able to see me, everyone would be able to take pictures of me and everyone would know that a real live ghost existed. Baines left the room with the scientist. I was all alone. I needed to find some way to escape un-noticed. I thought and thought. Then I saw an open window. I climbed out of the bed that I was laying in, pulled all of the tubes off my body and tried to climb out the window. It was high up so I struggled but after quite a bit of effort I escaped. Now where to go and what to do now?
Part 15-2
I heard hushed voices in another room and a dog barking. I heard people drinking cups of tea in another. I was so weak, faint and crazy that I even heard somebody saying my name. Wait, it was someone saying my name. I looked all around and couldn’t see anybody. There was nobody on the paving slabs I was standing on and nobody on the farmer’s field that was just in front of me. I must have been hallucinating. I heard my name being called again. I began to get worried. Was I really that sick.
‘Psst, Steven. In the bush,’ I heard a voice whisper. My eyes were drawn to a small bush almost directly in front of me.
‘Whose there?’ I whispered. There was a short pause and a rustle in the bush.
‘Victoria,’ the voice replied. As soon as I heard the person say Victoria I dashed off into the distance. I had no idea where I was heading. All I really wanted to do was get away from the building.
I heard footsteps following me. I ran and ran, only to look back over my shoulder and see that the laboratory was nowhere to be seen.
‘Don’t be scared,’ I heard Victoria say, ‘I’m the Victoria you hate’s mother. I want to help you’
