I dashed forward, almost tripping over my foot and definetly damaging my shoe as I did. My first instinct was to run, and that's what I did. I just glanced over my shoulder to see crowds of townspeople comforting an old lady (who had obviously been hit). When I looked up, Baines was nowhere to be seen. For the second time, I saw the neon lighting of the cafe, this time I was a bit nearer. I wasn't taking any more chances so I picked up the pace that I was running at. Thoughts of the day went through my mind. Baines, his friend and the removal man were evil. They wanted to kill me. But why? Why did that man almost hit me with his lawn mower and why did the lady with her children crash into me? Shivers were going down my spine as I finally reached the bold entrance to the cafe. I saw the words 'Cafe, au bord de la mer' on a sign. I translated into English, Cafe by the seaside.' I then saw a sand pit on one side of the door and a water cooler on the other. I briskly entered and took a seat. I waited and waited for a waitor. But after I had been waiting ten minutes and nobody came to serve me, I decided to go up to the counter. I banged my fist on the counter, badly hurting myself, but the assistant didn't even look at me. He was standing near enough next to me, but I didn't look round! Rude people. My heart began to race as I felt it. The hand on my shoulder.
