Post here and say if your parents are divorced from each other.

For me, none of my parents are divorced from each other. However, I have a friend whose father was divorced from the mother.

I am lucky, my parents are still together. But most of my friends parents are divorced.

How can one parent be divorced? They divorce from eachother, lol.

Anyways, yes my parents are divorced. It happened when I was 7. I didn't take it hard, until my parents got back together, then spilt, together, spilt, then they finaly stayed apart.

Even when my dad lived a block away, I didn't visit him as much as I should have. He was going through the "I-have-no-time-for-anyone-but-my-computer" and the "if-I-spend-4000-dollars-more-on-this-site-I-will-be-the-next-Bill-Gates" phases. It sucked because I knew he loved me, but he was caught up on catching this dream that he sort of forget me. And he wondered why I barely visited.

So eventually he moved 5 provinces away, and for the first while I felt like it was my fault, and I still sorta do. I call him all the time, and in October he came to visit, but it was really a bussiness trip. That was the first time I saw him in a year. I never realized how much I missed him until those couple days.

I'm starting to get teary eyed, so I better stop.

So anyways, if your parents are divorced/getting divorced, hang in there. It's tough, but it will work out.

No, they aren't.

But something scared me 4 days before Christmas, which ruined my holiday spirit. My Mum was yelling with Dad on the phone and she said "YOUR BREAKING MY HEART!" and my sister started crying and I just lost it. I started swearing and stuff and cried into my pillow. They had fights for days until the 27th.

I never got much holiday spirit at Christmas time. It scared me so much since they started fighting alot. I though they would since they talked alot about it and they started walking out the door for fresh air alot. I hated that so much and I thought they would get a divorce. I cried for days but now they're happy again. ;)

-hug- Don't worry, :D Don't cry, always rememver he still loves you. =]

They were close to getting a divorce, but on Newy years day they made up, :3 I feel so happy and ecstatic about it. <3

I only have one parent. It's been that way all my life.
Same here, I live with my grandparents, don't worry- It's better you were born without a parent then having to go through the pain of losing one when you were, the age you are now.

(Btw my mum lives 3 hours away from me, )

Well, I did have go through a loss when I was younger- I'd rather keep that to myself, though.

Oh, im sorry Rey- I didn't mean for that to come up.

Just remember s/he loves you. Who ever it is you lost, and they allways will :)

I lived without a father for five years of my life and I got on just fine. My parents love eachother, as much as they fight. I know they both love me, and thats all that matters. I don't need your pity. I have a great life, I have friends who love me and a nice life, I am not abused or anything crazy like that.

Thanks Rib. :] :]
Your welcome, you just need to know that it's not you hes fighting with- Your the one who he'll allways treasure and he'll love you no matter what! Same for your mom. :)

Yes, both of my parents are divorced. (That's really the only way it can work unless the parents were never married, then they both got remarried, and one of them got divorced from their new wife/husband. Even then, the step parent wouldn't usually be considered the parent so they might not consider their parents as being divorced.) A parent can't just divorce from the other, they both divorce from each other.

Everything is much happier now that my parents are divorced. (If only my mother hadn't gotten remarried, then it would be perfect. If my stepfather decides to get a divorce from my mom though it will be awful because she'll blame us and be awful to us.)
