Okay, I got inspired to make this topic from what happened to my brother and his friends last night, and then what happened tonight with me. My home town is Perth Amboy, NJ. I don't live there anymore, but my brother does.

Okay, has anyone here ever watched ghost hunters? Did anyone watch the episode a few weeks ago with the Proprietary House?

It's haunted by William Franklin, a woman, and a little boy. Other ghost as well.

Well, my older brother is into BMX and going to the scate park. Him and a few friends decided to go to the Proprietary House and ride their bikes on the rails. So they're riding their bikes, when all of a sudden, one of them hurries and rides away from the building. No one knows what's going on, cause he said nothing and just left. They keep riding, and then one looks at the window. This window is where an uncle threw his nephew out and killed him. It's on the top level. They see a white face, watching them. They get scared and ride away like little girls. Haha.

Well my mom decided that tonight, we all go down. Me, my step sister, my step bro, and step dad, and little bro. We park in the parking lot to the house, and me and my step sis get out to explore. But as soon as we got there, the curtain was up. It went down by itself, and then after five min, it went back up again. By itself. No workers are there this late at night- it was dark in the building. Me and my step sis walk around, and see a shadow following us. We see a face in the window. We didn't run though. We eventually left.

This house, The Proprietary House, is where the governor of New Jersey lived. William Franklin- Benjamin Franklin's son. He was dragged out and publically humiliated. He haunts the house as well.

And then the workers say that things touch their faces, and then there are always footsteps in the halls. I've been in the house before- and there were footsteps following us when we were touring.

I'm wondering- is their any inneresting legends, myths, or ghost stories from your town?

Well, I live in Amityville.

The only rumor I heard about was that the town was built over some native american burial place...

Heh, I don't pay attention to myths so much. ^^;;

Um ~Nyuu,

I suggest you never watch Amityville Horror.

It was based on a true story about that town.

I am completely aware of the movie, and I've seen it. ;0

The house is down the block from me. Sheesh.. people always taking pictures... I wonder how that person can live there?

Woah, you're such a brave person.

If i lived in Amityville and I watched that

movie I would get the heck out of that town.

I live in Melbourne (Capital of Victoria) , Australia and this was the town where Ned Kelly was hanged. x__x

He was a dangerous bushranger who murdered people and he got hanged and now people are saying The Old Melbourne Gaol (old version word for Jail) is haunted because that's where he was hanged. It's a popular attraction here.

I WANNA GO TO THE MELBOURNE GAOL! I love haunted places. :D

~SG~

P.S - Hey ~Nyuu, I dare you to go inside the house and stay there for an hour. It would be SO AWESOME!

(For some reason I love being scared. XD)

My town, (Taroom, Australia) Is haunted by many aboriginals.

Over a hundred years ago at an old farm called Haunet bank, there was a white family of 5. They captured 3 aboriginals and used them as slaves for many years. One day the aboriginals tribe came and killed the whole family. (mother, father, daughter, son, and another daughter). So the taroom's people shot all aboriginals in the surround area. Their ghosts haunt this town.

It's a true story believe it or not =D

My hometown, Baldwin, Wisconsin, really doesn't have much of a ghost story.

Although the town I'm living in now has a house down my street that this one guy's parents both were murdered in it, and the house has been closed with police tape around it for the whole time since they found out that they were murdered. I've gotten curious and it's been about 9 months since it happened and what's even weirder is that I can see that house from there..there never was a ambulance / hurse to take away the bodies. o_O

No one's gonna guess this town =D

We have a giant cow statue becasue some cow in our town broke a world record for most butter-something produced by a cow. I think it's called buttermilk or butterfat or something like that =P We're the Dairy Capital of Canada xD

It's not any kind of legend or horror story, but Blake Lewis off American Idol lives in the same town I do.
That's cool. x'3

A lot of famous people come from around/where I live.

There's not any legends about my town that I'm aware of. I know some war battles have been faught here but that's about it.

lol my cousin is named blake lewis. Have you guys ever heard the story of how the children got hit by a train and now they protect people? Well here it goes.

There were these kids in a bus, and they were going across train tracks when the motor stalled or whatever, and they got hit by the train and were all killed. Now whenever you go on the train tracks and stall your motor at night, your car will slowly begin to inch forward. This couple tried it and it worked so they came back the next night and sprinkled baby powder all over the back bumper, and after they did the same as the last night they got out of the car and looked at the bumper which was covered in little child sized handprints.

That was here in Austin, Texas. There's also this one where there's this couple and the killer is on the loose and they find the hook on the car door and all of that. That's somewhere in Texas but not in Austin.

Woodstock, Ontario?

Anywho, there isn't any legends about my town. It's really boring here.

Yeah, but I'll type them later x.o

But the next town over is... BUM BUM BUM

St Augustine. There are a flippin lot of legends and stuff from there. And the lighthouse was on Ghost Hunters. It's not as scary during the day xD

Well, I'm not a big believer in all these myths and legends and stuff, but I'm gonna tell some anyway.

Ever heard that story about the schoolbus that got stuck on the traintrack and it was full of kids? Well that's near my city. A schoolbus was crossing the traintracks and it got stuck, while a train was coming. And the bus was full of kids. Everyone died at the scene. Scary.

Then there's the South Texas Chupacabra (sp?). It's supposed to be some huge wolf-like thing with dark gray skin and these big horrible teeth... some people have sworn they've seen it around the deserts and plains of Texas.

Im close to weird NJ where the devil tree and hells gates are...and along i think clinton(sp?) road if you go sown it at night in your car you'll see all sorts of creepy things

Where do you live in Texas? I have actually been to the place with the kids and the train tracks. It's in Austin.
