**This fanfic takes place in the "Tamagotchi!" universe** **Also, from now on, the double "**" means a character is thinking**
One day, while Mametchi was browsing the Electronics section of SmartMart, something in particular caught his eye. "Wow, that looks so cool, and look at the features it has! 4.3-inch screen, 1GHZ processor,..."
Just as Mametchi was about to continue, Papamametchi found the kid. "You know we can't afford that, don't you?"
"But what about the government funding you have?" Mametchi replied. He had a great desire for this device.
"That funding is strictly for our laboratory! Besides, my coworkers and I have an enormous research project, so we definitely cannot spend all of our money!"
"But think of the..."
"I believe I made myself clear enough! Now we must leave, since we are running out of daytime!"
Disapointed, Mametchi went out to Mamametchi's car with his family. **Well, I can't afford a 50,900G smartphone on my own, and Papamametchi won't buy it for me. But I *must* have the Mamerolla PQ43! How could I get one?**
"Remember that I am testing the Mindreader cap today!" Papamametchi injected.
"Alright, then..."
Mamametchi said, "You don't need that phone! You have plenty of fun with your friends!"
**That's it!...** Mametchi then remembered what Papamametchi just said, but he saw that the particular hat was not on his head. Thus, he continued thinking. **Maybe my friends could help pitch in!**
Shortly after the Mames arrived at their home, Mametchi managed to round up his friends for a discussion.
