One day, a female Masktchi :masktchi: , called Amy and a male Kuchipatchi 
, named Alex were busily working in TamaTown. Version 2 hadn't been invented yet. They had been deeply in love when they were on Earth, but had never had the chance to have a baby. Alex's owner, Samantha, and Amy's owner, Danny, had been best friends in Year 12. Although their classmates teased them, Samantha and Danny were still crazy about Tamagotchis. They used TamaTalk regularily and took the best care of them. Most of the time they got Mimitchi or Mametchi, but their standard of care had dropped, because they had to study for the HSC (Higher School Certificate), so they had only gotten Kutchipatchi and Masktchi this time. Alex and Amy had seemed destined to have a baby.
Just when they were one connection away from having a baby, disaster struck. Samantha and Danny had gotten a bad result in a test, and their parents confiscated their Tamagotchis. Of course, as they were only V1, there was NO PAUSE option. Alex and Amy died later that night.
They couldn't have a baby in TamaTown unless they'd already had one on Earth! So Alex and Amy looked around for babies up for adoption. They looked everywhere: the Tama Hospital, Ebay, even the Tamagotchi Adoption Centre on TamaTalk. But sadly, there was nothing. So Alex and Amy felt resigned to a babyless life in TamaTown.
Until one day, a tiny bundle appeared on their doorstep. It was sleeping time for the bundle, and it had been moved as it slept, by a Tamagotchi which went to bed later - its mother. When Alex and Amy woke up, they were shocked to find a tiny, strangely shaped Tamagotchi on their verandah. The Tamagotchi was weeping uncontralbaly, evidentally even though it was a toddler, it was smart enough to read the letter pinned to its blanket by its mother. I know you were looking for a baby, so have this deformed thing. Alex and Amy were dumbstruck. Who could possibly be so cruel?!?! They took the poor little thing inside and fed her some bread and pudding. Eventually she cheered up enough to try some Jump (V1 type of course!) and Dance. But the little toddler was so bad that she lost on the first jump, and the first level of Dance. People also stared at her, as they had never seen anything like it. Soon it was crying again. Alex and Amy tried praise, but it didn't work. They quietly took it back to their house, ignoring the stares of other Tamagotchi. That night, the Tamagotchi Mayor came to their house. "I hear that you have a new member in your family," he said. "But that she has no name yet. You must choose a name for her so that she can be officially a Tamagotchi." They chose the name Honey.
As Honey grew up, she became sad that she could never go to a Tamagotchi on Earth. Honey was quite a traveller, but there was "no space for a funny character like you". Honey became sadder and sadder. Then one day, Amy and Alex, now oldies, heard of a new kind of Tamagotchi - a "Version Two".
"Maybe we could get her registered as a character..." Alex suggested one night.
"We could ask the Tama-Mayor, she's quite good friends with him," Amy agreed. They asked the Tama-Mayor, and he spoke to a representative of the company BanDai, who requested that she see Honey. Honey went on her first trip from TamaTown, and met the representative, who said "What a gorgeous star-shapped Tamagotchi! We absolutely MUST have her for Version Two. I'll ask the owner of BanDai if we couldn't add just one more character..." A week later, when Honey had returned to TamaTown, they recieved a letter from BanDai:
We have seen photographs of you, and have decided that you would be a fantastic new addition to Version Two. We will need to take some of your DNA for cloning into a character though. This could be fatal to you, but should you agree, come ASAP to BanDai.
Honey had a discussion with Amy and Alex. "I MUST become a character! I can't just stay here forever."
"Curiousity killed the cat!" Amy exclaimed. "But you may choose to go if you wish. It's your decision."
"I'll go," Honey decided. "I can't waste my life here in TamaTown. I'll take a risk, see the world. And when I'm done, I'll come back here."
The next day, Honey packed her bags and left.
"Thanks for all you've done for me!" she called the Alex and Amy. "I love you."
"We love you too sweetie," Alex and Amy said together. And Honey walked through the portal that would take her to BanDai. T
She was terrified. A BanDai person brought a huge needle closer and closer to her, and into it, something red appeared. It hurt Honey so much, and she felt like her insides were being sucked out. Suddenly, she was spinning away into blackness. This is the end thought Honey.
So she was surprised when she woke up a week later in the whiteness of the TamaTown hospital. There was a TV in front of her. On it, a human news report was running. There was a picture of a happy human girl getting a Tamagotchi. Only it was different somehow. Honey strained to see. The words "Version Two" were written on the package. Honey clapped her hands with glee, and a nurse came running.
"Oh, you're alive!" exclaimed the nurse. "We were getting worried."
"The DNA extraction!" Honey exclaimed. "Did it work?"
"The DNA extraction was a complete..." the nurse paused for suspense. "SUCCESS!!!!!!!!!"
"WOW!" Honey was so delighted, and this helped her through the pain of her treatment in the TamaTown hospital. She was able to return home a week later, where Amy and Alex were anxiously waiting for her.
"Oh, you good, good girl!" Amy exclaimed.
And that night, as Honey climbed into bed, she thought about where it had all started, on that doorstep in the middle of the night, a "deformed" Tamagotchi who believed that she could make it, and two supprotive parents who got her there.
And without that, how would we have gotten Hitodetchi?!? <_<
