Blood fell like rain. All the wasted blood flowed , merging together in a river of loss. The screeching of cats sounded in the distance, sounding so far away, but only a thicket of brambles apart from me, really. I winced, but then hurled myself through. FireClan shall win! FireClan! My thoughts passed. I was now in the middle of combat, between clans. I glanced at the fast forming stream of blood. It looked the same, but it was blood merged together, by two different clans. Two sources of cats, but all the same...I shook off all further thoughts. It was my time to fight, to defend what I live for. I live for FireClan, but FireClan doesnt live for me.
A black tom approached me. I snarled.
“Get away from me – or you shall fight to the death” I hissed threatening him.
“Very well, scrawny creature!” He replied coldly, leaping on me. Pain surged through my leg as his sharp, white fangs sunk into my flesh. I yowled in pain, drawing the attention of a Clan mate, Silverleaf. She shot a glance at me and my attacker, although I was the attacker to him, and quickly finished of her fleabag of an enemy, rushing over to me, violence rimmed with pain in her angry, amber eyes. The black tom sensed her coming, and ripped off me to face her, but he was to late. Just before he was able to spin around, she unleashed her claws and dug them into his sorry neck.
It was his turn to yowl with pain, and he did. He tried to shake the impressive she-warrior off, but failed.
“Help me, Crystalpaw!” Silverleaf gasped, he voice muffled by black fur. The tom grunted, and he got a claw in the side for a reply. I got ready for a pounce, and then unleashed my attack. I took my sharp claws down his back, and he wriggled in pain.
After my mentor and I saw the pleading surrender in his eyes, we let him go, and he hightailed it into the bushes.
“Excellent, Crystalpaw. Excellence.” I felt proud of my mentors compliments. I had worked a lot to take down the enemy, and I raised my head at the praise.
“Thanks” I meowed, trying to sound cool, but my voice stopped, and I choked. Silverleaf simply gave a mrrow of laughter, tilting her head to the side thoughtfully. “I think we should head back to camp...it is getting late. The others will finish those mice in a heartbeat!”
