"Are you sure this is what is really happening? That she really is at the hospital?" Aly's mom said, acting like going to the hospital for someone who wasn't even there was crazy. "Yeah yeah.. I'm sure I'm sure.." I said not realizing how hateful I sounded. I couldn't help it though, I was scared of what might of happened. We sat in traffic, people were honking like crazy, I hope they know it doesn't speed up traffic. "It might be a while before we get there, so go ahead, do whatever you want to.." Me and Josh looked at eachother. He knew what I was thinking, no it wasn't bad either. I hadn't talked to Jason all day, I needed to hear him talk to me, and calm me down. I pulled out my cell phone and called him. It rang through to his voicemail,"Hey, it's Jason! Sorry I missed you, but I can almost promise that I'll call you back if you leave a message!" Hearing his voice was soothing enough, but I needed to talk to him, not to his voicemail. I called and called, no answer. So finally, I stopped calling long enough for him to call me back. "Hey Ara. You called?" "Yeah yeah. My mom is at the hospital, I needed to talk to you. We're stuck in traffic, and I'm beginning to worry." "Ara she's okay, shes there at the hospital, she called my house to tell us. She also said she called your house and she said there was no answer.But your dad, she said that he isn't okay, but the doctors are trying to help him live on. Your mom rode with Lilly's mom to the hospital appearently. And hat your dad was in a wreck on the way over to the hospital." "Oh.. my gosh.. I was thinking the worst.And now it happened. And I need to tell you something.." "What?" "I think I'm in..." and just when I was about to tell him I loved him, it cut off. "Stupid signal!" I yelled. Josh looked at me and Aly's mom, Cara, stopped the car for a minute, and then kept going. I stared out the window, and kept seeing Jason's face. I knew I loved him, and I knew today was the day I was going to tell him. I mean, on the day my little sister is born, it'll be perfect.Except for the fact that my dad was in a wreck, I hope he is okay. Suddenly Josh strating screaming with Joy, "Were almost there, were almost there!!" He was so happy to have a younger sibling. We then pulled into the hospital parking lot, and walked inside to the lady at the counter. She dierected us to moms room.
We walked in, and Jason was standing there, smiling at me. I lightly smiled back, and ran to my mom . "She's over there." she said. I was pointed to the little crib in the corner of the room. I saw her beautiful green eyes, and her little strands of blonde and brown colored hair. She looked up at me and smiled, I smiled back. I knew she would instantly click with me.
My little cousin Shaylee then oushed me outside of the room with Jason. Everybody was directed on the baby, so they didn't know we were out there anyways. "Ara, I think you were about to tell me something over the phone." "Yeah, I was going to tell you that I think I'm in love with you.." I said shyly, I could feel my checks turn red. He moved closer towards me, and put his arms around me. "I think I love you to." he said in a loud but silent voice. I stayed there in his arms, he held ono me. We were fi nally together, and it felt great. He let go of me, and I walked into the hospital room, just remembering about dad. "Mom, where's dad??" I asked. Just then a doctor rushed into the room, one of the doctors that was working withd dad. "Anyone that would like to go and visit the father of the baby, you are able to visit him now. I will let the children go in first, because they need some time alone with him." I took josh's hand and Kevin followed behind us. We walked into dad's room. "hey kids.." he said in alow voice, he could barely talk. I saw him in pain, and it brought tears to my eyes. "Mr.Smith, please don't talk. Your voice isn't up to it yet, and you could hurt your voice permnatly if you do." said a nurse. The nurse left the room, and I grabbed a chair and sat down next to do dad. I held onto his hand. "dad, I love you so much. You took me from the orphanage, and I owe you for it. I hope your okay, I can't dream of life without you... Kaitlynn was born. She really is beautiful, she has your eyes. Me and Jason are dating now, we starting dating right before I came in here." I stopped, as I saw Kevin leave the room. I didn't go after him, I knew he was in just as much pain as I was seeing dad this way. Josh walked over to me with a look of fear in his eyes. I sat him in my lap and let him talk to dad, "Daddy,are you going to be okay? I love you so much daddy. I learned that new soccer trick you showed me today. And I got kissed by Sarah that lives on our street! She kissed my cheek and skipped off giggling!" I laughed at what he said, and you could se dad smile. Then suddenly, dad passed out, and his heart rate dropped. "leave now! We jhave to work on him!" saisd the nurse that shows up out of nowhere. She shut the curtans to the room so we dcouldn't look in to see him. I ran to Jason, and he tried to assure me that it was going to be alright, and I justy cried into his arms. We heard the door open, and looked to see who it was. It was that nurse again. "I have to tell you that Mr.Smith..."
