W h a t i s a n A l i c e?
An alice is a person who has a power/special ability, known as an alice. There are five types:
Latent Type
Latent-type Alices involve traditional, or "superhero" abilities, also commonly referred to as "ESP" powers. It is the most common alice of all the alices. It includes powers such as mind reading, teleportation, X-ray vision, and the ability to create illusions.
Technical Type
Technical-type Alices appear when the individual experiments or creates things, and so this class is very tech-savvy and creative. The type is relatively common, and most alices would be useful for careers in the real world. Alices such as cooking things with side effects, invention, and putting souls in stuffed toys belong in the Technical class.
Somatic Type
Alices in the Somatic category are connected to physical features of things, like changing your appearance, or your physical ability. Somatic Alices include powers such as voice control, changing your facial appearance as desired, animal pheromone, super speed, and feet unaffected by gravity.
Special Type
Students with Alices that do not quite fit in the above groups are put into the Special-type, and so the Alices in the class are usually rare and one of a kind in the Academy. It is the smallest class at Alice Academy. Special type alices include nullification, the power to live in the mirror world, and the power to make people laugh, even with terrible jokes. (Basically the most unique alices go here)
Dangerous Type
Students with a Dangerous-type Alice are classified as being potentially harmful to their peers. While their Alice fits into one of the above categories, their power may be so strong that it becomes a threat to others, so it is counted as a dangerous type. Alices such as the stealing alice are in this category.

Alice Academy is a special school, for kids with alices to go. Students of Gakuen Alice may not leave the academy until graduation or if they no longer have their alice. They may write letters home, but letters leaving and coming to Gakuen Alice are being screened.
There are three branches- The elementary, junior and high school. Kids 3-12 belong in the elementary, teens 13-15 go in junior and teens from 16-18 are in the high school branch.
Gakuen Alice's school courses are no different from any other school, there are regular courses such as Math and History. However, the big difference is that the students and teachers have alices. The students can not use their their alice ability during class without permission. There are also alice based classes for students to attend to learn how to use their alices, split up by alice type. Students are ranked in a Star Rank system by good behavior, alice power and grades.
Here are the star ranks-
No star- Very few get this rank, and it is the absolute lowest. Kids with weak/hardly useable alices and low grades end up here. Kids in this division get an allowance of 5 bucks a month, and have little food to eat, and are generally disliked by others.
1 star- Most average kids go here. Kids here get 30 bucks a month, and have a decent amount of food to eat as well as a nice dorm room.
2 star- Kids here are kids with good grades, and good alices. They get a nicer dorm room that is bigger than single room, and get a good portion of food as well as a 50 dollar allowance.
3 star- Honors kids with powerful alices go here. THey get 100 dollar allowances, a huge private room, and a great amount of food.
Special: Few are in special- special kids get a gigantic room complete with bathroom, a lounge, and a kitchen, as well as a buffet of food and a 300 dollar allowance.
UNIFORM:
Uniforms vary by branch.
Elementary: Boys and girls both wear black long sleeved shirts, with white shirts underneath. Boys wear shorts, and girls wear skirts.
Middle: Same as elementary, only they wear white polos instead of white shirts, and guys wear pants.
High school: Plain white polos, and either a skirt or pants.
Classes:
Classes are divided by branch. Elementary kids are in one, middle in one, high school in another. There are special classes that are not divided by age, aka the latent, special, technical and somatic and dangerous classes. Kids go to these classes once a day after regular classes to study alice stuff.
SPECIAL EVENTS:
There will be a sports festival, alice festival (lasts two weeks, giant event/academy wide competition where each alice class (Latent, Technical, Somatic, Special, Dangerous) shows off their best inventions, works and other things formed by alices, so the campus becomes like a giant amusement park for the two weeks, stuffed with cool alice shows, vendors selling cool inventions, amusement rides/things by alices, and other fun stuff, read Gakuen Alice vol. 4 to see what I mean) and christmas party/ball.
CENTRAL TOWN:
A special town located in the academy, which is run by alice users. Here students can take their monthly allowance to buy goodies, such as inventions/sweets/food from technical type alice users, clothing, and other things.

Personality: Reese is an outgoing guy, who is pretty social and friendly to others. While he is pretty sharp, he's rather carefree, maybe too much to the point he sometimes forgets to study, which explains why he only has a two star ranking. Reese can he a bit blunt at times, and also accidentally lets rude jokes slip by. Nonetheless, he's a good guy. As you may think from his alice, he likes making people laugh.
Looks: Reese has dark brown hair, that is kept short but not too short to the point it looks like he's bald, but not too long to the point it looks like Bieber-before-his-hair-cut-hair. He has emerald green eyes, and is about 5'9. He has a medium build, and is about 120 lbs. Reese tends to wear his uniform pretty sloppily, not bothering to tuck his uniform in like he should.
Alice: He has the alice of being able to force people to laugh, even with the worst jokes and the worst puns. It sounds useless, but it's actually pretty useful as he can make people do what he wants because he can make them laugh hard enough that it becomes painful (You know that feeling you get when you laugh too hard and your sides start to hurt? Yeah, all he has to do is tell tons of jokes in a row. It works well.) He is in special class.
