Monica stood and ran over to the girl.
"Leave her alone!" she shouted at Chloe, the head of their little gang.
"You really think I'm going to listen to a loser like you?" Chloe sneered.
Monica brought a fist to about two inches off Chloe's face."Are you sure?" she asked, confidence slightly dampened.
"Um, duh?!" laughed Chloe.
Monica hit her in the nose. Chloe touched her face and her hand came away bloody.
"Oh. My. Gosh. You gave Chloe a nosebleed!" whined Chloe's right-hand-girl, Kaelyn. She dragged Chloe, who was still stunned, towards the nearest teacher. The rest of the gang hurried after her.
"Thanks." said the new girl, obviously in awe."I'm Krystalle."
"That's a pretty name." complimented Monica."I'm Monica."
After recess, Krystalle called to her,"Tomorrow can I play with you?"
"Of course!" Monica yelled back. She smiled for the first time in days. Had she finally made a friend?...
