40 Hour Famine

So I made the same topic a week ago on Seriously Non-TT a week ago and it didn't get through the moderator yet. I'll ask for this topic to be closed if it does, no worries

Just what the title says! This year, World Vision is sponsoring to help stop child labour in India. I'm gonna do a technology shutdown for 40 hours and try and collect as much donations as possible!

Oh my goodness I'd die if I couldn't eat for so long ( or at least pass out I have high body metabolism ) So that would be down right ridiculous for me to try. Good luck.

I would guess that you ask ppl to sponsor you to stay off line (for example) - maybe USD1 for every hour you can stay off line.. stuff like that

Physically I could do it, but emotionally and the fact that my mom would probably shoot me, I'm can't.

You don't have to go w/out food 4 so long. You can either not eat, not use electronics (tech shutdown) or not use furniture in the 40 hours. Or additionally you can come up w/sth. urself!

My friend told me @ her school sb. suggested giving up school work.

And sb. suggested going w/out clothes! O___O imagine that...

Would a laptop be considerd a furniture?.. Well I guess not..
