3 generations of a pattern

So, my two tamagotchi friends had a pattern of boy, girl, boy, and i expected the pattern wouldn't stop at generation 4, but it did stop. I expected it to at least go to generation 5! Has anything like this happened to anyone else? I was hoping they would be both girls and look like their mothers :/

Nope. Its random.

I believe there is something with the mate you choose and the raised character that effects what the baby is, but most don't believe that.

I know it's random, I was just talking about a pattern that randomly happened.

Assuming the probability of getting either gender is 0.5, the chance of getting an alternating pattern for 3 generations in a row is only 0.25, which is still really high.
