168 in 1 Cyber Pet

I have a 168-1 cyber pet that seems to have the same functions as the one in this thread (https://www.tamatalk.com/threads/bootleg-168-in-1-virtual-pet.195270/) but in a different shell (white and egg-shaped with red buttons labelled A to D and a yellow section on the middle made to look like the egg has hatched), but I can't seem to find any instructions or extra info on it online.
It also seems to only have the left column of play features shown on the screen but I think I can interact with some that aren't shown, though they're different to what is on the instructions.
Any info or discussion would be great

I have the exact same problem if it helps D is confirm A and B are select and C is cancel

Also there is a key option in the book option which wants a code: Anyone knows what that code is?

Have a 168-in-1 also here. Was sold in a kids magazine right now. (Model Number 422307)

All codes with a checksum of 12 are correct. 057, 750, 444, 354, 642 and so on, give 5 foods.
