Yes I tried testing the battery on another tama and it still works fine I also tried cleaning the battery compartment with isopropyl alcohol It seems to be screwed on pretty tightly, I never disassembled this tamagotchi before nor have I dropped it.. I haven't tried pressing the reset button...
