will the matchmaker still come if mine is like 95 lbs? and what year does the tama have to be in order for the matchmaker to show up?

My tama's an adult, but she refuses to go to school when i select the "work" option on the device. But when i log into tamatown, it still takes me to the school. what's wrong? should i discipline it?
