my morino finally came in the mail!! the only problem is the batteries seem to have corroded the inside even though it came empty? it wasn't listed as damaged. is there any way to fix this? :(

i'm asking because i finally have enough money to purchase a vintage tama again. the morino really interests me, since I also really like insects, but I'm unsure if I'll find the gameplay fun. i also prefer the appearance of the umino, but its much more expensive.
