I have very strong suspiscions that on V3, Nikatchi isn't actually that "bad". Because I had a Nikatchi and it evolved into Memetchi :D on pretty average care, which isn't bad at all. Don't forget to turn out the lights when it goes to bed, and always keep him on (or close to) minimum weight...
