The v3 is by far my favourite Tamagotchi. I'm running my v3 along with a 4U, and the comparisons are striking, yet I am enjoying both Tamas very much. I know nothing about Japanese Tamagotchi Connections, however, so I can't help you there.

I prefer to reset the clocks on my Tamas rather than pause them. I actually just ordered a Tama Chibi to run along with my regular tamas. I have a Giga pets Floppy Frog also on the way, but I might keep it in the package and set it away for nostalgia. Not decided for sure on the frog pet.

Oh, one more thought, have you considered running a very simple tama, such as a Nano? I've heard that a Nano is very simplified, yet still offers a couple care features. I'm considering purchasing a Nano in another month or so, just for purposes of comparison with my other, more complex tamas.

Thanks for this topic! I know very little about the 4U and how to pause it, but a babysitter option sounds wonderful. Like others have said, I have older tamas (v3 and v6) running, and usually I'll change the clock so they'll go to sleep, and I'll do whatever I have to do, then come back home...
