They're aren't copies. They're modeled after real animals, they only work of the same principles of a tamagotchi. Other than that, they are not so similar.

Keitai all the way~! The Keitai is my ultimate favorite tamagotchi ever made. It doesn't matter if you know Japanese or not, the controls are just like the Connection/Connexions. I think the V2s are lame compared to the Keitai. I have three of the V2s, and I bought two more Keitais the first...

On my two newest V2s, the US Connection is darker and brighter than the Connexion. I also noticed that the Keitais have more of a faded sepia colored background than the rest of the tamagotchis.

I like the P1 characters better, but I like actually playing with the P2 more. The minis you can only feed, clean up after, give it medicine and turn out the lights. No playing what-so-ever. So it's kind of limited what you can do with it. It's a cute addition to any collection, but it's not...
