American-made batteries in general work. I'm not sure about rechargeable ones though, I never use those. I can imagine that power would get drained very fast, and it would be quite an ordeal to charge them all the time.

nice choice, alpha sapphire for the win! i chose AS because i wanted to battle team aqua, not because of the legendaries. those pixel graphics were like a kick in the gut. and nah, i don't, i think i'm gonna have to buy pokebank.
