Me again!
I bundled my modest little collection together and I think they all look rather dashing! The two Jensei's turned up today :)
Still pleasantly surprised about Japan -> UK shipping times!
From top to bottom:
3x 20th Anniversary Tamas
1996 P1 • 1997 P2
V2 • V3 • V3 • V3 • V4...
Update:
So, it turns out that I was irked greatly that the P2 I bought was not a true OG... so I bought myself a P1
(and this one has working batteries!)
My bad! It is a P2. I was thrown off a little as it says 1996 on the back of the tama's shell. :tarakotchi:
And thanks! can't go wrong with a Super Mario mousepad!
Another little guy turned up today!
Ordered this one from Japan, and it only took five days to arrive in the UK (which I'm still shocked about)
My very first 1996 tama! :ichigotchi: :ichigotchi: :ichigotchi:
My first was the red v2 with white arrows. Loved it to pieces (literally... the buttons all fell out when I wore it on a lanyard at a kids squishy indoor play park. I still mourn.)
:(
For me, it was the day I had finally saved up (almost) enough money buy my first tamagotchi. :ichigotchi:
I used to get 50p every once in a while as pocket money, and I had saved up a grand total of £12.50 (tamas were around £13/14 at the time, I think).
I was 9/10 years old, and had no real...
Just got back from my town centre. Scoured every charity shop, and nada, zilch! I might see if any of my local schools are holding any open fairs any time soon. It's lovely weather down in the SE so I'm sure there must be some. Failing that there's always a Sunday bootfair :)
Oh man I am so jealous! That is quite literally my hopes and dreams for going exploring in local charity shops. I do try to visit local boot fairs as often as I can, but I've yet to find any tamas!
I'm always popping into my local charity shops on the lookout for tamagotchi's. It's gotten to the point where I've been dreaming about finding one. 🙃
One day, maybe!
Oh, these are very cute!
I saw this adorable little pin on reddit a while back, and honestly this one with a little kitty cat is really nice.
I'd love to get some made myself, but I can never warrant spending upwards of £75 for 100 or so pins 😞
Got my fingers crossed for an eventual EU release...
Also it's hella chunky. I dream of a day we return to connexion form factor 🤞
either way this looks real neat!
It's definitely a ritual of mine to always come back to this site - whether I'm running tamas or not. It's just a hell of a lot of nostalgia (9 years of it!)
I wish the games section was up and running, as that was one of my favourite places!
Yep.
This guy. Got him when I was... oh boy...Eight? So, twelve years ago.
I lost him as I was growing up, but nostalgia drove me to buy the same design from ebay.
Red v2 with white arrows.
This was taken today. I brought the little tyke to work.
I got back into Tamas this past week, and after my friend noticicing, she came to me with her own v3 and we spent the day connecting our tamas and such. Then, she came to me the next day and asked if I had a spare Tama lying around, so her mum could have one too.
Not everyone is close minded.
My first tama was the same design as my current v2. I took it to a kiddie play center called "Kid City". It was like a whole place with climbing frames and ball pits. I had the tama on a lanyard around my neck, and when we left Kit City, I noticed that the middle button had fallen out. I was...
20, still got tamagotchi's. Been in love with them since I was only a little tyke.
Currently at work, with my v2 on my lap. Playing with it at every given chance :P
