The V3 is a great pick, tbh. It has a lot of the energy of the oldschool ones with a touch more. If you like the P1/P2, you'll love the V3!

First off, you can just snip off the wires and cover the ends with electrical tape. They're only for the speaker, so while your Tama won't make sound anymore, it'd be perfectly playable(I had to remove the speaker when getting a shell silver-plated, it won't hurt anything), next paragraph aside...

Hello and welcome to the forum! As for which Tama to run, what do you want to get out of it? Do you want a challenge or something more easygoing that still leads to variety? The v4 and 4.5 are great for the latter as skill points determine the character you get, not care quality.
