Things have gotten better. Mom is off her medication and is back to normal. She had to get a bunch of screws and things put in her leg, but now she's in a cast and hopefully it will heal alright. That's a big relief to me.

I've generally been in better spirits the past couple of days. I'm hoping that I am out of the depressed state I was in.

Last night Emily and I went to the midnight release of Pokemon Sun and Moon. I had a $50 gift card that I won a couple years before so I made good use of it then! We both got Sun. Jared got Moon, so we can play together and trade when I see him next week. The aggravating thing was that after I got home, I wanted to start playing but couldn't find my 3DS anywhere. I was probably making an awful amount of noise digging under my bed while my roommate was sleeping...but I couldn't find it. I was so mad. This morning I found it in my backpack. I don't know why I didn't think to look there. Anyway, I'm liking the game so far. I was super pumped to get a Primarina and name her Sirenia because of course when you see an elegant mermaid Pokemon you just know its going to be female right? Well, no. My Popplio is unfortunately a male...so my perfect name was no longer perfect. I came up with the name Locharem, but I'm not completely satisfied. It sounds masculine and is inspired by a body of water (loch) so I guess it's fine. I just can't imagine Primarina as a male though. Come on, it's a mermaid. I'll stop ranting about Pokemon now :)

I have some rather unfortunate news. It has been a sad day for tamas. I lost both Ginji and Masukutchi today. They were both 17 years old and in perfect health when they left. I really wish Ginji could live longer, because I grew very fond of him while he was here. I would venture to say that he has become my all time favorite tamagotchi character. I miss him very much, indeed. I think I'm going to have to get him back really soon. I was sad to see Masukutchi go as well. I love both of them. Good thing I managed to have a photo shoot with Ginji before he left. So, here is his feature, in loving memory.

Here is the last group picture I got of everyone. They were watching me work on reeds.

While I'm definitely sad about the loss, I'm happy that Mimitchi and the twins are still here :) They are extremely demanding...Mimitchi is 17 and the twins are 13. I expect that they will be around for a while longer. I'm not sure what I'm going to hatch next, or when. I think I want to start my Japanese P2, and try to get Ginji back on my green tama. My Morinos will be here soon though, so I definitely plan to start one of those. Maybe I'll just wait until Mimitchi and the twins leave before starting something else. It is nice to have a smaller number going.

In other news, I only have three more West Side performances (yay). I'll be happy when it's over. It has been a huge time commitment. My recital is lurking ever nearer so I'll be glad to have the extra practice time.

It is 74 degrees (F) here today, which is totally absurd. Go ahead and tell me climate change isn't real. This has to be record breaking. I took advantage of the weather though, and played Pokemon outside with Mimitchi and the twins. I think they enjoyed themselves

I think I'll be spending the weekend practicing, making reeds, and finishing up my applications. It should be a nice productive weekend.

So remember how it was super warm out on Friday and it felt like summer? Well, Saturday we got slapped in the face by winter. It plunged to freezing temperatures and started hailing and snowing. Who has ever heard of this kind of weather? It's absolute madness. I have a picture to prove it. At least Mimitchi and the twins got to experience the first snow of the season with me.

I'm really not a fan of winter, but then again I'm not a fan of summer. I guess I just hate extreme temperatures...I'm only happy in fall and spring. Maybe I'll move somewhere with a better climate some day....

Officially done with West Side Story. It was a nice experience I guess, but it took up too much time. I won't miss it.

I've been rehearsing with my accompanist for my recital and things are going really well. It's only two weeks away...time has flown by this semester. I can't believe my time as an undergraduate student is almost done. Everything since freshman year has been leading to this one hour recital I'm about to perform. It's crazy to think about. I hope everything goes well.

Tomorrow I head home for a much needed break. I'm excited to see my family and Jared, and have a nice Thanksgiving holiday. I'll be practicing a lot while I'm home though. Can't stop now.

Nothing really to report with tamas....Mimitchi and the twins are still here, but are very very old and demanding. They have to be paused a lot, which I hate doing. It's just really hard to care for them when they get to this stage of life. I guess they will be leaving sometime soon....If I can keep them off pause long enough, that is.

A note was left in my mailbox today saying that I have to sign for a package at the post office. It must be my Morinos, because it is from Japan. I'm just a little confused because I have bought from this particular seller before and the package was just left at my door. Not really sure why I need to sign for this one. I'll head over there tomorrow morning though. I'm really glad they got here, otherwise they would have been left until next Monday when I get back from break. I will update once I have them.

I suppose that is all for now. I hope that everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving (for those who celebrate).

I'm loving reading your log Psychotama! Its really interesting reading about how others find time to balance tamagotchis and work/school. I've been feeling that tamagotchi urge recently and reading your log might have pushed me enough to start one up again. Keep up the good work!

Thanks! I'm glad you like it. And also glad I could inspire you to hatch some Tamas! :)

I'm finally home for Thanksgiving break. I got here Tuesday evening and it really is great to be home. It's been over a month since I was last here.

My mom has been admitted to a nursing home facility to work on the rehabilitation of her leg. She has to stay there for a few weeks, maybe longer. I have visited her there a couple of times. It's really sad that she has to be there. When I come home, I want my mom to be here. It just doesn't feel right. At least she gets to come home for a few hours on Thanksgiving. I'm not sure if she will be able to come to my recital, and that is really going to upset me. She has been to all of my major performances, and for her to miss my final recital would be horrible. I'm just not going to think about it. The rest of my family and my boyfriend will be there though, so I'm thankful for that.

Speaking of my boyfriend, I got to see my Jared today! It had been way too long. We went to eat and then hung out at his apartment for a while. I missed him so much. We are going shopping on Friday so I'll see him again then. And, he's coming up to school next week to spend the weekend with me. That will be really nice :)

There is quite a bit of tama news. I picked up my Morinos on Tuesday morning. They are beautiful! I still can't believe I got both for such a great price.

Also,Tuesday I was missing Ginji really badly, as I've been doing since he left me last week, and I broke down and hatched my green tama again. I was trying to wait until my current ones left, but I just needed Ginji back in my life. He is now a 2 year old Marutchi and so cute. He already has 75% discipline. I can't wait to have my Ginji back :)

After going to the post office, I went to teach an oboe lesson to my student and then started packing for home. While I was packing, the twins started beeping at me. I looked and they were making a very sad face. I watched as they flew away to tama heaven....leaving the word "Thanks!" behind. They were incredibly needy at that point so I wasn't shocked to see them leave. They were 15 years old. Angelgotch ages a lot faster than regular tamas. Afterall, within the first three days you get the adult character. It's kind of fun that they grow so fast, but also sad when they leave early. I honestly didn't intend to restart the Angelgotch right then, but I accidentally reset it and hatched myself a little Obaketchi. I figured I would just go ahead and raise it, since I'd have lots of extra time during the break. I wanted to get the unhealthy teen, Takoten. So, I treated my Maruten horribly....or at least I thought I did. I never ever fed it candy, keeping the AP at a whopping 0 the entire time. I also left poop on the screen for long periods and only really cared for it when it called for attention. I let the hearts drop to 0 in both hunger and happiness many times. I admit that a few times I went ahead and fed it and played with it because it's just really hard for me to neglect them like that. But I thought that the amount of bad care (which was a lot) and the fact that I kept it's AP at 0 would surely score me a Takoten. Nope. Apparently you have to do everything but kill them to get a Takoten. I'm going to try my best to keep from getting another Kuriten though. The only other thing I can get from Kodoten is Ginjirotenshi (Ginji Angel :D ) so I will try for him. I LOVE Ginji Angel...which probably comes as no surprise. What could be better than Ginji in angel form? Nothing, that's what. I had planned to get him soon, I just wanted to try an unhealthier character first. No matter. I will get my Ginji Angel if it kills me. I'm really going to have to commit, so wish me luck. I'll completely ignore poor Kodoten tomorrow. I just hope he survives it.

Now, for Morino news! I have never had a Morino before, so this will be a completely new journey for me. I decided to start with the yellow one first. I hatched it last night while I was visiting my mom. You can choose one of two egg types on the Morino, so I chose the white egg. This is the one that changes based on care. When the egg hatched I was looking at a tiny black worm called Babymotchi. He was super cute. I fed him leaves and played the game with him. In this game, you guess which cup the leaf is under. It is a lot like the Mothra game, if I remember correctly. I had only had my Babymotchi for a few minutes when I heard a loud beep....it had reset itself! I was really upset about that and I'm still not sure why it happened. I restarted it and it has been fine ever since...so hopefully that was just a one time thing. My second Babymotchi lived through a couple of near fatal experiences. He almost got squashed by someone's shoe, and was almost eaten by a frog. I scared away all of these threats, thankfully. Morinos get attacked by predators and you have to scare them away. Today, he changed into the next form, Imotchi. I would guess that he was a Babymotchi for about 24 hours. Imotchi is a slightly larger, white worm. He is also really cute. I have no idea when he will change again, so it will be a surprise. I (think) I have taken perfect care so far...never let the leaves drop below one empty. It has been a super easy tama to care for. Hardly needs anything at all. I am excited to see what will happen next. Here's pictures of my Morino....Imotchi went to sleep before I could get a picture, so I'll have to get one tomorrow. Also, there's the weird little screen saver thing that the Morino has. I'm not a fan of it. It's just like an overhead view...a little dot depicting your character. You can only see the actual character when you press a button. But, it goes back to the overhead view after a few seconds.

Mimitchi is still with me. He is 20 years old and extremely needy. I don't expect him to be around for much longer. I'm glad he will get to enjoy Thanksgiving with me though :)

Hi,

Your log has been an extremely fun read, making me wish my Angelgotchi was still working (I need to sort out the screws).

Congratulations on the care for your Mimitchi and i'm so jealous of your Morinos (I may have to do a cheeky purchase of one) looking forward to the updates! ^_^

It has been quite the eventful couple of days. Thanksgiving was really nice. My mom got to come home for a few hours, which was great. I typically don't really like Thanksgiving food all that much...so I just ate mashed potatoes and corn. My main source of sustenance was the pumpkin pie though. I had my sister make two pumpkin pies and I think I nearly ate a whole one by myself over the course of the weekend. It is my favorite pie :) no regrets.

I spent Friday with Jared. We went Black Friday shopping at the mall. We mostly looked around in clothing stores and I went crazy looking at all of the amazing neck ties in this one store. They had every shade of purple imaginable. I love ties and I love purple, so I had a lot of fun. I didn't wind up buying any, but it was fun to look. I also decided on a color scheme for my recital. I think I'll wear blue with a light yellow tie. Those aren't colors I normally wear so I want to mix things up a bit. Jared bought me a really nice blue and white sweater, and that was the only thing I got during the whole trip. I was trying to save some money. After shopping we played Tennis (and it was so cold). It was a very nice day.

Friday was also a very good day for tamas. I had spent Thursday completely ignoring Kodoten. I knew that I had to really commit, since my attempt to get Takoten failed. I never gave Kodoten any candy, I never filled his hearts up to more than 1, and I never praised his good deeds. In fact, I left him with all hearts empty for as long as I dared. I must have come as close as possible to killing him. I felt really horrible about it all day, but I knew that was what I had to do. Friday morning, I heard the changing music and watched as Kodoten changed into....Ginjirotenshi!!! I got my Ginji Angel :) He is so cute! It's almost like my P1 Ginji came back to me in Angel form after his death...I guess that's weird to say but whatever. He really is the cutest. Even cuter than his P1 self. I have taken pristine care of him since his change and I hope I have made up somewhat for the dreadful care up to that point. His AP is maxed out at 70 and all hearts are full. He is 5 years old.

My Marutchi changed into Tamatchi on Thursday. He has since been disciplined to 75% and I have let his hearts drop down to 2 empty in both happy and hungry twice. Otherwise, perfect care. He also got sick tonight, which means I should have my Ginji back with me tomorrow at some point! I don't know what I'll do with so much Ginji perfection. I'm glad they will be around for my recital.

As for my Morino, not much has happened. I really like the options with food. I have no idea if food choice influences growth, but I haven't really kept track of what I feed. I try not feed a lot of ice cream because that seems unhealthy, but I feed the berries just as much as I do the leaves. I really don't know what I'm doing with the food but we'll see what happens. I have only had one accident with Imotchi. Once while I was at the mall, he got attacked by a predator and I didn't hear the beeping. When I looked at him next, he was all bandaged up. I actually thought he had gone into some weird cocoon before I realized what had happened. It must not have been too bad of an attack, because he hadn't lost any hearts or anything. I just feel bad that I didn't save him. I've caught every other one though, so I guess that's good. He is 4 years old. I don't really know when he will get to the cocoon stage but I'm guessing it will be sometime soon.

I have to report the death of my dear Mimitchi. He left me Thursday night while I was in the car with my dad. He was the last of my Halloween hatch group. Sad to see him go :( He was 21 years old.

Tomorrow I head back to school. One last week of classes to push through. I'm a bit overwhelmed by all of the things I have to get done by the end of the week. I have a class presentation to give on Thursday (haven't prepared for that at all) the same day as my recital dress rehearsal. I have a Spanish oral exam on Tuesday and a final conducting round at some point next week. Monday is lesson day, and I'll be playing through the Goossens concerto with accompaniment for my teacher. All of my grad school applications are due on Thursday. Friday is the final orchestra concert of the semester. And, my recital is Sunday. One hell of a week. Jared will be there on Friday though, so that will give me something to look forward to. I hope I can keep it together. I'm going to try and get some stuff done tonight and tomorrow so I can lighten my load a bit for the week. All of my free time will be spent trying to come up with the perfect recital reed, not to mention practicing. AHHHHHH. So glad I'll have my Ginjis with me.

It has been quite some time since I've updated. I made it through the last week of class and I have nearly made it through finals week. I will be going home for winter break on Friday morning and I could not be more relieved. This has been a really exciting semester, but it has also been extremely stressful and I am ready for the much needed rest.

I was very stressed about all of the things that I had to get done this past week or so but I am happy to say that I was able to manage my time a lot better than previous semesters. Nothing really piled up on me. I worked ahead, used my time well, and got everything done at a comfortable rate. I can't say that this has ever happened before since coming to college, but I suppose now is as good a time as any to get on board with time management skills :)

All of my final papers and assignments came together really well. My final conducting round went extremely well. I conducted the first movement of Haydn's "London" symphony and I was the only one in the class to receive high praise for my conducting. My professor actually walked up to the podium and gave me a fist bump...it was kind of strange I guess but I was happy that I had done really well.

Friday our symphony orchestra performed Tchaikovsky's 5th Symphony. That was a really fun experience. The music is so beautiful.

Jared came up and spent the weekend with me. We had a nice dinner with my friend Hannah and her boyfriend. I got a pomegranate margarita and it was so good. I think my favorite flavor I've had so far. After dinner we went back to my apartment and just chilled. Saturday, my family got here and we all went out for lunch. I spent the remainder of the day practicing and working on reeds.

Sunday was the big day. My recital went very well! I wasn't thrilled with the reed that I wound up playing on, because I had to use a bit too much embouchure to control it, which resulted in the pitch creeping up on me at times. For the most part though, I was very happy with my performance. It was an exciting program and the audience seemed to really enjoy it. *If anyone is interested, I have professional recording files that I would be happy to share with you. Just message me ^_^ My friends got me some recital gifts. I got a shot glass and a Cher poster....I have a very fervent passion for Cher  My parents got me a big box of chocolate and Jared got me a bottle of wine and some candy. It was a very nice day and I literally slept for the rest of that day and the entire day after. It really is a huge relief to be done with my recital. With the exception of one more final, I am completely done with everything!! I just need to gouge a bunch of cane to take home with me for the break, since I don't have my own gouger.

Well, now it is probably time to report on tamas. Let's see where we left off last time....

My tamatchi did indeed change into my beloved Ginji the following day. It has been so nice having two beautiful Ginjis with me at once. Both are still here, but very demanding. Ginji Angel is 14 years old and needs constant attention. My other Ginji is also 14 but not quite as needy. I have a bunch of pictures of them that I have taken over the past week or so.

A lot happened with the Morino. Imotchi went into his cocoon, I believe the day after my last post. He was in that stage for 24 hours. I was really unsure of what to do with the temperature gauge, but I kept it on the warm side as much as I could. Every few hours the temperature went farther in the direction that the arrow was pointing, so I did my best to keep it alternating between all the way on the hot side and one notch cooler. My reasoning for this was just that insects don't survive in the cold...I know to get different characters you have to try different temperatures but I just went with the warm side of things this time. Since the tama doesn't sleep during the cocoon stage, I paused him overnight. I didn't want to wake up every few hours to check the temperature, so I figured this was the best option. I may try to do that some time though.

Anyway, 24 hours after going into the cocoon, my little guy emerged as Minotchi! I honestly have no idea at all how much care and missing predator attacks plays into what character you get. I'll attempt to describe my general care this first time around:

I missed no predator attacks in the Babymotchi stage. I would guess that I missed about three attacks while he was Imotchi. I let the hearts drop down to two empty on either hungry or happy a couple of times, but never both at once. I played a lot of games. The food I fed was pretty random...I just fed what I felt like. And then the temperature of the cocoon that I've already gone over. I would have to get him again using close to these same methods to confirm anything. It is in my plans to create a "How to get this character" guide for the Morino, since I haven't really seen any detailed ones around. We'll see about this though.

Minotchi is a super cute little bug. He mostly stays wrapped up in his little shroud, and it appears that he hangs from a tree or something. When you feed him he comes out and it's really adorable. I love him.

My little Minotchi left me at 9 years of age. In reading other Morino logs, that seems to be the trend. They just don't live long. I suppose it makes sense because they are insects. But it's kind of sad you can't keep them around any longer. I hatched a new white egg yesterday and I have a 1 year old Imotchi.

I've enjoyed a nice couple days of laziness. Got home Friday evening and have been doing as little as possible ever since ^_^ My mom is still in the nursing home, and will likely be there for the next month or so. It's really sad not having her in the house. I'm so used to sitting with her and talking for hours. I go visit her at the facility pretty much every day though.

I started my part time job on Sunday. I work at a small local restaurant when I'm home from school. I just started this past summer and it has been a good job. I make a decent hourly wage and also get a share of the tips from the day. We don't actually wait tables there, just take the food out. So, the tips are split between the workers. It's nice to get the cash everyday, on top of normal pay. The downside of the job is I have to pause my tamas. They wouldn't care if brought them with me, but there would be no time to take care of them. I have no downtime or breaks, and the work is constant. I may try to figure out some way to handle this, but for now they have to stay home.

My Ginjis are still here. I know Ginji Angel is going to leave any time now. He calls for attention every few minutes. My other Ginji is not quite so needy, but he is getting there. I still never tire of their cute little faces.

Imotchi went into his cocoon last night (or this morning, rather) at around 1 A.M. I didn't have anything to do this morning, so I decided to just get up periodically through the night to adjust the temperature rather than pause him. I have kept the temperature on the hot side just like last time. I believe my overall care this time around has been better. I have only missed one predator attack, and that was in the babymotchi stage, if I recall. I did let his leaves drop to 2 empty quite a few times, but other than that it has been very good care. I have read that the weight has something to do with what character you get, so I have been trying to keep his weight up. I'm not completely certain if this is true, but I figured I would try. If you are horrible at the game, (which I am sometimes) it can be a challenge to keep the weight up. I figured out that feeding leaves adds one pound, and feeding the other option, whatever it may be at the time, adds two pounds. Playing the game loses one pound. So, you need to feed a 2 pound food and win the game to bring the weight up one pound...or I guess it's ounces. I have been able to do this very successfully because I found that if you get the first two guesses in the game wrong, you can just exit the game and try again without losing any weight. This way, you can ensure that you win the game every time. I got Imotchi up to 43 oz before he went into the cocoon. I also noted that he went into the cocoon much sooner than he did last time. He was close to 6 years of age the first time, and only 4 years this time. Perhaps the weight caused him to cocoon sooner. It makes sense, because caterpillars need to eat a lot before they go into cocoons. I am anxious to see what he changes into later tonight! While I enjoyed the Morino at first, I thought it was a little boring. However, this second time around it has really grown on me. I like it a lot! I see myself running it for quite a while.

Since I have a lot more time now, I decided it would be nice to have some more interactive tamas running so I picked out some connections. I chose a V1, V2, and a V3. While there still isn't a ton to do on these, the games are more fun and I like the variety in characters and the shop feature. I still plan to keep this mainly a vintage log, so I don't plan on running these once I get back to school. But, they are a lot of fun right now

The V1 was my first tama, so I always love running those. I have an Ichigotchi :ichigotchi: Ichigotchi is one of my favorite teens so I was very happy to see him again. While I have gotten every character on the V1, I was very young and had no method to it. I am currently trying to get Kuchipatchi. I have disciplined Ichigotchi to 70% and have let his hearts drop to 2 empty in both hunger and happiness twice. Otherwise, I have taken perfect care. So I guess I'm doing what I would do to get a Ginjirotchi on a P1. Since the V1 and the vintages are very similar, I hope this works. We shall see.

On my V2, I have Ringotchi, another favorite of mine. My V3 is Obotchi (I love that it sounds like oboe..... ). In my past experience, the characters seem kind of random on these versions so I have no idea what I'll get. I have taken absolute perfect care of both Ringotchi and Obotchi, and have disciplined them fully. They should change probably tomorrow night.

Here they were being cry babies as toddlers

Still being really lazy...winter break always makes me want to do absolutely nothing. Oh well. I worked on reeds some today and I'll probably do more later. Spent the majority of the time trying to get my knife in working order. It was just way too dull and I kept ruining the tips of reeds. Hopefully it will be more functional now. Sadly I don't have any more blanks because they all got ruined so I'll need to tie some more tonight. The joys of being an oboist.

First off, Morino news. So Imotchi came out of the cocoon as....Minotchi again. Again! I was kind of disappointed because I was hoping for something new but, this is a good thing because it helps to check some of my theories. Things I changed from last time: Weight and Predator attack misses. Control variable was the temperature. Kept that completely the same as last time. General care I would say was close to last time, if maybe a bit worse. This leadsm me to believe that weight doesn't have much (if anything) to do with it after all. The weight my first time around was as low as possible, and this time was over 40 oz. Also predator attacks might not have a ton to do with it either, I don't know. I missed 3 or 4 my first time, and only one this time. So, I'm not really sure what's going on here. Next time around, I will try to take perfect care and leave the temperature the same. We'll see what happens then. For now though, I'm enjoying having Minotchi back because he really wasn't here for that long. He's very cute :)

On to the connections. My V2 Ringotchi changed into Mametchi. The V3 Obotchi changed into Furawatchi (or Violetchi, not sure why it has two different names), and My V1 changed into Tarakotchi. Tarakotchi is the only adult that can be obtained regardless of the generation, so that's kind of cool. Again, I disciplined him to 70% and let his hearts drop down to 2 empty in both hunger and happiness twice, otherwise perfect care. For the second generation I definitely want Mimitchi, so I won't be trying anything new there, just straight up perfect care. I, being my crazy self, decided to put batteries in another V1 because apparently 6 tamas wasn't enough for me. I already had a 1 year old Ichigotchi, so I decided to just keep her. I am assuming that she has had perfect care so far, so I will continue with perfect care but only discipline 50% and see what I get. Hopefully something different!

My Ginjis are still with me, but only because of the amount of pausing I've done. I'm going to tab the Angel once Ginji Angel leaves and take a break from it for a while. I'll probably also tab the green P1. I'm not sure what I'll run when I'm done with the connections.

Insane amount of tama news. First off, I received two packages this week. The first was the Royal White 20th Anniversary M!x. This is my first ever color tama, and the newest model of tamagotchi that I have purchased since the V 4.5. So, I have missed quite a lot in the way of tamagotchi innovation. I kept seeing pictures of them on the Tamagotchi Collectors group on facebook and decided I had to get one. I really like the concept of mixing character genes so it seemed like it would be a fun thing to try. I picked the white one because, I hate pink, and also I think the white design is absolutely gorgeous. I was pretty nervous about it being in Japanese but I think I have figured out things pretty well. It's not as bad as I was anticipating. Actually, this doesn't seem to be a very complicated tama at all, like I thought it would be. I have only been running it for a day now, but it doesn't seem like there's all that much to do. Which is good I guess, because I'll soon be busy again. I know there are a lot of translation resources and guides online, so I will have plenty to help me out if I need it. I have managed to figure everything out so far (I think) except for the fact that I have no idea what the dialogue between characters is at all, but that's probably not that important. I currently have a toddler....blue bird looking thing. He's very cute. Will be turning 1 year old sometime soon. At first I wasn't sure how to keep him happy, because the happiness meter is so different from what I'm used to. But I found that a combination of snacks, playing with the toy, cleaning the house, and bathing seems to keep him happy. I also can't get the meter past the light blue color, but I'm assuming that can't be filled until he grows. I have bought him a few toys from Tama Depa and he has met a lot of other tamas in the square and at the park. He had a very intense gambling card game with one of his friends. A LOT of candy was at stake but he pulled through and won it all. He has visited the laboratory a few times, and I'm not at all sure what that's about, but it always makes him happy. In his free time he chases butterflies outside. I am looking forward to learning more about this tama. It's also been so surreal having a color tama because I remember when I was a kid I used to wonder what it would be like if tamas were in color. And I was always wishing that they were backlit so you could see them at night. And now it's all a reality! Pretty cool.

My other package was a spontaneous purchase I made a few days ago. A green Santaclautch! I found one for a really good price and decided to jump on the opportunity. I really didn't know much about this tamagotchi so I did some research and it seems so interesting. I love the concept and that there is an actual goal, not just raising a character. I have found that the sound on it is really loud and shrill. I guess it sounds kind of Christmassy though. The sounds are kind of magical. The goal of the tama is to help the mayor, (Santagotchi) get himself ready for Christmas. You have to find the 4 Santa items to fully evolve him into Santa. Apparently the items can be obtained through the advent calendar, that you can access once a day, and sometimes through the chimney game. This is day 2 with my Santaclautch and I haven't found any of the essential items yet. I have played the chimney game a ton but never seem to find an item. I'm beginning to wonder if I'm doing something wrong, but then again it's a pure chance game. I have gotten two items from the advent calendar. The first being a ball of yarn. I used this and Santagotchi knitted himself a snow suit and became Snow board Santa. Today the item I got was what looked like a roll of cloth. It looked like he made himself a dress, which was interesting. I'm not really sure what he is now. I checked an online resource and apparently it is Sailor Santagotchi. I think this is a really unique tama and I'm happy that I have it. There are so many cool features on it. I'll report more later.

I have exciting Morino news! Wait...update. So Minotchi wound up leaving me the day after my last post. I can't remember his age, but I think it was around 6 years old. So young! He was completely happy and healthy, and then I took him out of my pocket maybe 15 minutes later and he was gone. I guess it must have been a really brutal predator attack. I feel bad for the little guy :( Honestly, the Morino can be so aggravating. It seems like EVERY time I walk away for 5 minutes it gets attacked by something. And I keep my eye on it obsessively. Every time. Ugh. Oh well. Poor Minotchi didn't last very long. I immediately reset and hatched another white egg. This time I was determined to take perfect care. Well, I failed. At least I thought I had failed...I don't know. So I missed an attack in the babymotchi stage, and then another in the Imotchi stage. I also let the hearts drop down to two in both hunger and happiness a couple of times. By the time he went into his cocoon, I was convinced that I'd done an even worse job than usual so I wanted to try something different to avoid getting Minotchi again. Instead of keeping it on the hot side, I kept the temperature cold. I even fell asleep last night and forgot to get up periodically to check on it. When I woke up, the temperature hadn't moved at all, which is really strange. It usually changes every three or so hours. So I'm not sure how that happened. It is also important to note (I guess) that I tried the weight method again. I got Imotchi up to about 40 pounds before he cocooned. If nothing else, I really do think getting the weight up causes them to go into the cocoon sooner. I got called into work this morning so I decided to just take the Morino with me. He was in a cocoon, so I wasn't worried about him. When work was almost over I pulled him out and found Tentotchi! I was delighted and also very surprised. According to the growth chart, Tentotchi comes from the healthiest cocoon. So that means I could have gotten Koganetchi, had I gone with the hot temperature. I am officially puzzled by this tamagotchi. I would say my overall care was no different than the last two times. My first Minotchi was pretty bad care as far as predator attacks go. I also had the weight really low. I did a lot better the second time, but still got Minotchi, even with the weight over 40. This time I would say the care was somewhere in the middle, but got Tentotchi, with the weight at about 40. So I really am having a hard time figuring out what exactly contributes to the growth. I like this mystery though. I will solve it!

Now for the connections (wow, I have a lot of tamas going right now). Mametchi, Tarakotchi, and Furawatchi all had babies at age 7. The matchmaker came for them. Tarakotchi had a boy, and the other two had girls. Funny, the exact same genders on each tama as the first generation. The adults all left this morning and now I am raising the kids. The just changed into their toddler forms. I have Marutchi on the V1, Kinakomatchi on the V2, and Kuchitamatchi on the V3. I will be honest and say I took pretty bad care of the babies because I was distracted writing this. So we'll see what happens :D Also, the other V1 became a Tarakotchi as well. So for that one, I disciplined to 50% and took perfect care otherwise. This resulted in Tarakotchi. I don't mind so much Tarakotchiness because he (or she, in this case) is so adorable. She is now 5 years old.

Good news for Christmas. My mom got to come home from the nursing home today! It's so great to have her back home. It was very sad with her being gone. I officially have all of my audition dates confirmed. My first audition is in Pittsburgh on January 13th. Really close! The rest are in February. I basically have an audition every weekend of February, the last of which I have to fly out to New York. It'll be a very exciting and terrifying few months, but I'm ready for it!

My tamas have had to be paused for the majority of the past two days. I spent the days doing Christmas shopping with my sister and I just couldn't have a bunch of tamas in my pocket. I did, however, keep my M!x with me. It is SO nice being able to see it in the car at night! That has been great. There's a ton of news with that tama. My little blue bird changed into a little guy with ears and a blue mask over the top of his face. I'm not sure of the names of these characters, so that's the extent of my descriptions. I had him for a day before he changed into Mametchi! He was so cute. Mametchi was seriously a drama queen though. He cried over everything. He skulked around the house staring at the wall paper like it was giving him some kind of serious trauma. It reminded me of the story The Yellow Wallpaper. I read that changing to the flower wallpaper unlocks the Flower world, so I went ahead and did that. This cheered him up. He also literally CRIED when I fed him rice. That rice had been totally fine for his whole life and then as soon as he reached adulthood he just apparently couldn't stomach it. I didn't want to spend a bunch of money on food when he could eat free rice so I made him deal with it. That's tough love for you. He was definitely the sassiest tamagotchi I have ever raised. We spent a lot of time traveling to the flower world and talking to all the tamas there. At first I thought it would be nice to have him marry Violetchi. I thought they would have cute babies. But, I kind of ruined his chances with her because I accidentally had him propose to her after only meeting her once. She clearly thought he was coming on too strong (understandably) and politely refused his proposal. He was devastated by this and I then witnessed the most dramatic soap opera reality television show tragic romance moment I never thought I would see on a tamagotchi. He had a melt down and cried and then got angry and threw the ring across the screen, all accompanied by really dramatic music. I really felt sorry for the poor guy. He had been through a lot in the 5 minutes of adulthood that he had experienced. I made sure this wouldn't happen to him again. He met this really cute rose flower girl (Himebaratchi I think is the name). He visited her many times and played toys with her. Even flew around with her on a parachute. This time when he proposed, she gladly accepted. They had a super cute wedding and had a bright yellow baby boy. I was shocked by how quickly the whole process had happened. New generation in only 3 days. This is a very fast paced tama. The baby changed into such a cute toddler. He had little Mametchi ears and was green and pink. I really loved him. Then he changed into a really moody teenager with the same ears. Just a very sour personality. He always looked so bummed out to be alive. But I loved him anyway. Just a few minutes ago he changed into his adult form. So cute! But really looks like a girl. He's wearing a dress and has a white face like a geisha. Very pretty :) I definitely like how my first mix went! I've also picked out who I want him to marry. I unlocked the Rainbow world and he met this beautiful little fairy girl there called Nijifuwatchi. They seemed to get along really well and she is really cute. So far, I have unlocked Tamagotchi Town, the Laboratory, Flower Hills, Rainbow Hills, and Gotchi King's Castle. I can't get the others until the third generation. I also have quite a bit of money saved up. The games at the arcade honestly kind of suck. The picture game is easy to win, but it isn't really fun at all. My favorite game so far is the one in Rainbow Hills. You are a little fairy girl (that may be Nijifuwatchi, but could be wrong) and you have to avoid getting electrocuted by an evil queen in the clouds. It's a decent game and also easy to win. So far, I like the mix pretty well. It is extremely low maintenance, almost on par with the vintages in that regard. I haven't had any problem at all keeping them happy, even though I've read that is a struggle for a lot of people. Just play games and feed snacks and the happy meter stays full for me...I don't know

I really don't have much to report with the other tamas I'm running because they've had to be paused so much. My connections changed into teens the other day though. Ichigotchi :ichigotchi: on my V2, Young Mimitchi on the V3  , and Oniontchi on V1! Really really happy with all of these. I haven't seen Oniontchi in so many years. It's really great to have him back. Young Mimitchi is really cute too.

Santa and Tentotchi are doing just fine, on pause that is haha. They will be able to be off pause from now on, so there will be more to talk about later. My Ginjis are still around, but going any time now. They've been pretty much paused for days because they can't be left alone at all. It's great that they will be here for Christmas though! I will be hatching my Japanese P2 tomorrow for the Christmas hatch. I have never had anything but Mimitchi on the P2 so I am ready to try for something different.

I'm going to go ahead and post this for now. I'll have pictures next time. I'm just too tired to mess with that right now. Merry Christmas everyone!

Still not feeling like dealing with the pictures...but I figure it's better to update than to let too much time pass. It's just kind of a pain putting the pictures through photo bucket and everything. I take them on my phone, email them to myself, edit them in photobucket, and then paste the link here. I guess I'm just lazy but I would be a lot more inclined to do it if I didn't have to deal with photobucket. Ah well. I haven't given up on pictures though, just not doing them right now ;)

There really isn't a lot of news with the connections. Still have my teens (I've done considerable pausing lately) and I have taken probably average care of them. They all are disciplined 100% but I haven't been the most conscientious care wise. They turned 3 early today, so I am very curious to see what I'll get tomorrow! Tarakotchi on my blue V1 left tonight while I was watching a movie with Jared. I think I will take the battery out of that tama tomorrow. Need to slowly wane myself down to a smaller number. 10 is crazy!

The movie in question was Whatever Happened to Baby Jane? a very old black and white thriller starring Bette Davis and Joan Crawford. It has been one of my favorite movies for a long time because I watched it a lot with my mom. Jared saw a spoof of it on RuPaul the other day and thought it was funny. He was surprised when I knew the movie it was based on and I told him I had the DVD so we decided to watch it together! He really liked it. I also spent Monday with Jared. He took me to my favorite Chinese buffet (and paid ;) ) and then we played tennis. We played tennis. Comfortably. The day after Christmas. It was about 65 degrees F! Record breaking here in the US. It's back down to chilly temperatures now, but I couldn't believe how warm it was. After tennis we went to Applebee's. I usually get the oriental chicken salad but decided to try something new. I got the sirloin stir fry. I liked it, but not necessarily something I would get again. Jared got a gift card for Christmas so I lucked out and didn't have to pay again. I really made out like a bandit. Not to mention I bought $200 worth of clothes that day and didn't have to pay for them. My mom gave me her store credit card for that store so it was really nice.

So I did hatch the Japanese P2 for Christmas. I was super excited when I realized that it is a series 2, meaning the secret character is Charitchi and you get Nyatchi instead of Pochitchi. I wasn't aware that I had a series 2! So, I decided to try for Nyatchi since I've never had her. My tonmarutchi changed into Tongaritchi this afternoon. I'm very happy to have Tongaritchi back...so cute.

Santa news. I have paused Santa a lot so I'm not sure how far along he is anymore. I have not found any of the required Santa items yet, but I have found many items in the chimney game. I was very happy about this because I played the game for like 20 minutes straight when I first started him up and didn't find anything at all. I was beginning to wonder if you can even find items this way. But I have found probably 10 things so far. My favorite evolution so far is Penguin suit Santa. It's just hilarious. I must post a picture of it soon. I really don't care if I find the right evolutions or not because penguin Santa is all I need in life. But really, I do hope to bring a wonderful Christmas to Tama Planet :D

M!x....where to even begin. I'm coming to terms with the fact that I will never be able to keep a complete log of the mix...or at least post it all here. Every three days there's a new generation and I usually don't update here more than once a week. Because of this, I will only report exceptionally interesting things that happen and a choice few pictures (which WILL be coming soon, I promise). After my first marriage, I got the geisha looking Mametchi thing. Since, I have unlocked all but one destination. I did end up marrying my tama to Nijifuwatchi, even though the first proposal failed. I think this was a good choice because the result was really cute. Got a bright pink baby boy. He changed into something that closely resembled the first toddler I got (blue bird) but with the rainbow hair like his mom. The teen looked almost exactly like the generation before (with the same sour expression on his face) but lost the Mametchi ears. Overall, the Mametchi genes are pretty much gone. He changed into adult form this evening, looking quite a bit like his father, but with the rainbow hair like his mom. Still white geisha face, and still roses bloom around him when he moves, a trait he has retained from his grandmother. Also same dress as his father...weird to say, I know  I have found a new favorite game...the swimming race in Makkaka town. Also, Makkaka town is really cool. Everything is in red. A tribute to the Tamagotchi Akai where the pixels were all in red. The swimming race is super quick and easy to win. You just button mash A to fill up the bar and you win every time. Very good source of money. I am over 10,000 gotchi points now! Also winning gives the the conch shell that you need to unlock Gozaru village. From what I've read, this is a really great feature because with the Melody and Spacey mixes, you needed another unit to unlock everything. You can unlock all of the destinations on the 20th Anniversary M!x without another unit. This I am grateful for! I have not decided who to marry my new adult to yet, but there's plenty of time so I'm not rushing anything. I'm really enjoying the mix so far. It's really not that huge of a change as I was expecting from my first color tama. And the concept is new and interesting.

Tomorrow I am going to hang out with a fellow double reed player. We're going to have a nerd party and play for each other at a recital hall and make reeds together. So that should be fun!

So I just realized that I've been writing this log for over two months now. I have never kept anything like this going for so long. I always lost interest really early on. So here's to hopefully many more months to come! I haven't had tama fever anywhere near this long since I was first obsessed back in the good old days. Not sure how I've managed to keep it going, but I think a lot of it has to do with my writing here. Whether anyone reads or not, it is nice to be writing down my thoughts on a regular basis.

Today I went to see the movie Sing with my sister and nephew. I liked it a lot and had a good time. My Mix and Tongaritchi watched it with me. The others required too much attention so I left them paused. After the movie, we went to eat at TGI Friday's. I got sriracha buffalo wings and they were really good. Not as hot as I was expecting, but good flavor nonetheless. I really like super spicy food, so it's hard to find wings that are too much for me. I am staying the night at my sister's and I'm not really sure what we are doing tomorrow.

I might go over to Jared's family New Year's Eve party on Saturday night. My family never really does anything for New Year's, so that shouldn't be a problem. Jared has a huge family so it's cool to go to gatherings like that. It's always just been the five of us in my family, so I've never known the big family experience. No traveling to see relatives or having multiple Christmases or family reunions. So, it's a new experience. I've only met his mom's side of the family because it just seems that it never works out for me to go to things his dad's side is doing. The New Year's Eve thing will be his mom's side again...I guess I'll meet the rest of them eventually  It probably seems to them like I'm avoiding meeting them but it's just coincidence and bad luck, I swear.

Today was kind of a sad day. I lost Tentotchi :( He was only 6 years old. I'm assuming it was a predator attack because I checked on him and he was totally fine. Then I ran upstairs to pack a few things for my sister's house and when I came back down he was gone. I was awfully sad to lose him. And I regret not getting more pictures of him. He was SO cute. I'm sure I'll get him again sometime soon though, so it's fine. I hatched a new white egg and now have babymotchi. He's still up with me right now :) I plan to just attempt perfect care (even though I suck at it) and try the weight method again. I'll also probably go back to keeping the temperature hot. We'll see what happens this time around!

For the connections, I wound up getting Bunbuntchi on my V3. She's really really cute, never had her before. Chohimetchi on my V2, and Memetchi on my V1! I was really happy with all three of these. I've decided that I'm now done with the connections and will be taking the batteries out. They were fun for a while, but I just had too many going at once.

I've had a lot of progress with Santa in the past day or so. I wound up finding three of the four essential Santa items all in about ten minutes time. I was just playing the chimney game and kept finding items. They all happened to give me the right evolutions. I found his hat, the sleigh, his Santa clothes, and now all I'm missing is Rednosetchi, his reindeer helper. I was very surprised by this turn of events. One thing does concern me though. I checked the TV icon, which shows the growth of a little tama getting ready for Christmas. It started out as a babytchi, then changed into Tamatchi, and then Mimitchi. They were all looking at a Christmas tree. Yesterday, however, I checked and a Debirutchi (devilgotchi) had knocked over the Christmas tree and was gloating happily. Today, an Oyajitchi is crying because the tree is knocked over. I have read that this happens when your time has run out before finding all of the items. But I haven't been running it for even close to two weeks yet so I don't know how I could have run out of time already. So this does have me a bit confused. I set the calendar to December 10th when I started, so it's not like it knows Christmas has already passed. Weird. I will just keep trying to find the reindeer and see what happens.

My P2 Tongaritchi got his sickness this evening, signalling that he will evolve tomorrow. I have done everything correctly so far to get Nyatchi, so we will wait and see! I'm excited to have a new character.

Mix. I wound up marrying my adult to a Himebaratchi again. I just think Himebaratchi is so pretty so I wanted to see if by strengthening her genes in the pool I could get something closer to a pure version of her. The resulting child was very adorable. Looked exactly like the child from the previous generation but was a light pink color. I changed the wallpaper to rainbow hills theme to match him. So you know how much I love the Makkaka Town swim race right? Well apparently playing it a lot turns your tama red :( Not that this is necessarily a bad thing, but I really loved the original color. I was kind of bummed about this so I tried to figure out how to change it back to pink. I knew that drinking watermelon juice 5 times in the restaurant changes the color to red, so I found a pink drink (it looks like a milkshake) and tried the same thing. What do you know? It worked! Changed right back to pink. A little bit ago he changed into his teen form. So far, every mixed teen I have gotten has had the same face. This one is no exception, but it actually just works really well this time. This time the teen inherited the leaves of his mother, but they are purple and kind of look like wings. The color scheme is very pastel and pretty and with the wallpaper it's just beautiful. I think the sour expression makes him look like royalty this time around. He looks like "I'm gorgeous and everyone is beneath me. You peasants bore me." I know that sounds horrible but I love it  Definitely looking forward to seeing how he turns out.

Here's my family tree so far.

I guess that's everything for now!

Just a few quick updates.

Tongaritchi evolved a little bit ago and now I have Nyatchi! This is my first time getting this character since I have never run a series 2 P2 before. I like her, but some of her animations are a little messy in my opinion. Specifically the happy face. I'll post pictures of that later. In general, I think that the happy faces on the P1 and P2 left a lot to be desired. Most other faces and expressions were really cute but on most of the characters the happy face just looks awkward. In later connection versions, most of these were updated and they got more appealing faces so I guess I'm justified in thinking this :) Other than that, Nyatchi is very cute and has a lot of similarities to Pochitchi. I am happy to have her.

Babymotchi changed into Imotchi earlier today. So far I have succeeded in perfect care. I'm really trying hard to be careful this time around.

I checked the tree situation with Santa and Kuriten was sprinkling some angel magic on it...so maybe he will help to fix it? Thanks Kuriten!

My wonderfully sassy Mix teen changed into her....ahem. His adult form today. He is just beautiful! It seems that the rainbow hair is a very persistent trait. Not that that's a bad thing. I'm really happy with the result. He definitely more closely resembles Himebaratchi now. I think I might keep him as is for a few days.

My Ginji left me today. He had been around a really long time! I am actually pretty shocked that he left before Ginji Angel. Ginji Angel is currently twice as demanding as he was. He's beeping at me RIGHT NOW. And I JUST tended to him. I love him though, so I can't get too frustrated. Definitely taking an Angel break after he leaves.

That's all! Enjoy this picture of the gang (minus the Ginjis) with me at IHOP. Strawberry banana pancakes are always the best decision.

Hello everyone. My break is coming to an end very soon. I'm kind of dreading going back to school, but just because I have been enjoying being home so much. I know when I get back I'm going to be in full force work mode all the way through February. Staying up late every night practicing and getting up early every morning for class. I'm ready to kick myself into shape for these auditions. So, because it will be such an intense couple of months, I felt justified in being a complete laze-ball this past month. I really haven't done anything at all productive aside from my normal practicing. So, I'm already mourning the loss of my current sleep-until-noon (or later)-get-up-and-shuffle-around-the-house-and-eat-junk life. But I know it's time to get back to work.

In case anyone cared, I survived meeting Jared's whole family on his dad's side. As I've said before, I have pretty bad anxiety about meeting new people. The worst part is trying to come off like I'm not nervous, even though I'm dying inside and screaming HELP ME. You never want to look nervous. So I tried to play it cool and I think I did a decent job of it. There were so many people to meet and they were all just standing in the same room when we walked in. Staring at me and introducing themselves and shaking my hand. So it was like a nightmare and I just had to put on a smile and try to act as normal and sociable as possible. Exhausting stuff. But, I made it out alive and now I have met most of the family....his family is so huge. I took Nyatchi with me for moral support. She doesn't need much because she's still young, so I was able to just leave her in my pocket. The mix is too bulky for my pocket and the Morino obviously needs more attention. So, Nyatchi was the one who got to witness my internal breakdown.

Yesterday I spent time with Jared and my friend Ashley. We went to a good Thai restaurant and then played the game Catan. Jared really wanted to learn it so he went and bought it for us to try. It was really fun! And guess what? I won! It was kind of funny because I didn't even realize that I had won when I did. I had miscalculated something so I thought I needed one more point to win. But I was pleasantly surprised. It's always fun when I beat Jared at something...he's super competitive ;)

On Wednesday Jared's parents are taking me out to dinner at the Cheesecake Factory. So that will be nice. Also, Jared won a two night free stay at a fancy hotel so we are going there this coming weekend. It will be a nice way to end the break.

Well, I have great Morino news. I finally succeeded in taking perfect care! No missed predator attacks (honestly a miracle) and never more than one empty leaf. Also got the weight up to 40 mg and he cocooned at age 3. I think the earliest he has ever cocooned. I was pretty confident that I had really done it this time, so I went for the hot temperature in hopes of getting the healthiest character, Koganetchi. I planned to get up periodically to change the temperature and this wound up being no problem at all because I got a nasty cold and kept waking up pretty much every hour anyway. I kept the temperature warm all throughout the next day and at 11 pm I heard the music.....and none other than Koganetchi emerged! I'm so happy to have gotten the best care character. It really was a challenge, that's for sure. Much easier to get Mametchi or Mimitchi, even with all the discipline required. Koganetchi is cute, but he doesn't really do much. Just bobs up and down. I must say that Tentochi remains my favorite. Looking forward to having my Koganetchi for a while though :)

Really no news with any other tamas. I'm still holding on to my Mix adult because I really like how he is right now. Nyatchi just got her first sickness a few minutes ago. I have a Mix case coming in the mail that I ordered from Fuzzy-n-Chic. It's Luna from Sailor Moon. So I'm pretty excited to get that!

I suppose that is all for now. I'll show off Koganetchi before I go :)

I've been at school for a week now. As much as I didn't want to come back, I am so happy to be back  I always get that way over winter break....the long time at home makes me want to just stay. But, another week or so and I would have been bored to death and ready to get back here anyway. My class schedule this semester is incredible. I have no class at all on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. I have only 2 classes on Tuesday and Thursday and am done by 11 A.M. The two classes that I have are super easy. One is a seminar covering works we are performing in Wind Ensemble and Orchestra this semester. The other is a jazz improvisation class. I wasn't really thrilled to be taking the jazz class, but it was pretty much the only thing available that I could take to fulfill my music elective credits. I played saxophone and clarinet in jazz band in high school, so it's not completely foreign to me. Just not quite my comfort zone. I'm sure it will be a great experience though. The fact that I don't have class Monday and Friday means that every weekend will be a 4 day weekend! I love it. It's very convenient because I won't have to miss class for audition travelling.

Speaking of auditions, I completed my first graduate audition at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh this past Friday. Emily and I both auditioned so we drove there together. It was a nice trip and we had a good time. My audition went very well and I was accepted on the spot! So my first audition was a success :) Emily was also accepted. Very good day. I have no more auditions until February, when I have an audition every weekend that month. So I have a little bit of time now to better prepare for those.

My tamas kept me company while I warmed up and awaited the audition.

I'll back track a little bit and report on my last weekend at home. I spent it with Jared at a nice hotel. He won a two night free stay there at a party he went to. We had a great time just being lazy. The hotel also had a pool so we swam a bit. But we mostly just laid in bed and watched RuPaul's Drag Race. A very relaxing time. I had my tamas with me and Koganetchi left the second day -_- It must have just been his time to go because he was very well cared for. He was a very cute little guy. Nyatchi made it through the whole trip though. She left me the next Tuesday while I was at school at 17 years of age. I was sad to see her go. I hatched that tama again and went for the bad health teen, Hashitamatchi. I got him and he is so cute! I don't have a ton of experience with the bad health characters so it was nice to have him. I couldn't really decide if I wanted Hashizotchi or Takotchi, so I wound up disciplining to 50% and taking worse care than I had planned to. So, I wound up with Kusatchi! :kusatchi: I was actually really happy to get him. He is such a cutie. He is now 6 years old. I know that he won't live for long, but I will make the most of the time I have with him.

As you can see, I really had to commit to get Hashitamatchi....poor little tonmarutchi.

I waited a while to hatch the Morino again. When I did, I decided to just focus on getting the weight as high as possible. I didn't take particularly good care at all (at least with happiness) and waited to try and fill two happiness hearts at once with the game. I also filled some happiness hearts by saving Imotchi from predator attacks. Doing this, I managed to get the weight up to about 52 mg. This is the highest I have ever gotten it. Now Imotchi is in the cocoon and I am keeping the temperature hot. I may leave it hot for a while and then put it on cold. Just to see what happens.

I'm still running the mix. It's on the 7th generation now. It's been a lot of fun. Also, I did manage to get all of the items on my Santa! After that I took the batteries out. When the holiday season comes around again I'll get him back out :)

I am really really enjoying my schedule this semester. I'm basically just here to take lessons, practice, and play in ensembles. My classes are basically non existent. I am one happy oboist :) Went to both of my classes and practiced for an hour all before noon. I have the rest of the day to practice and work on reeds. I do have wind ensemble rehearsal later, but that should be fun. Although I'm not crazy about the music we're playing...

Yesterday was a sad day. It was sad, but happened in a funny way I guess. I was in my lesson and I heard a familiar beeping sound....Kusatchi was dying...during my lesson! I really didn't expect him to die that early, so I didn't bother turning the sound off. But I should have, I really should have. The death sequence is kind of drawn out on the vintages anyway, but it seemed to go on for a literal eternity while my teacher stared at me. He asked me if it was an alarm and I said yes because I didn't want to tell him it was a tamagotchi haha. And there's no way to stop the noise once the sequence starts...so I shoved poor Kusatchi in my pocket to try and muffle the sound. But it was still very audible. So that was kind of funny, but I do miss Kusatchi :kusatchi: He died at the young age of 7, even with perfect care. I hatched that tama again and I think I may go for Mimitchi again, but I'm not entirely sure. He is a tonmarutchi right now and I should be Tongaritchi soon.

I got a new character on the Morino! When the little guy came out of his cocoon, he had changed into Chobitamatchi! General care analysis: I took average to bad care of Imotchi. Mostly in regards to happiness. I never let all of his hearts empty though. And never more than two hungry hearts went empty at once. I did this with the happiness to try and get the weight higher, waiting for predator attacks as opportunity to raise happiness without lowering the weight. Also managed to fill two hearts at once a couple of times by getting a perfect score in the game. The weight ended up at 52 mg (my personal highest). I also missed one or two predator attacks. For the temperature, I kept it on the hot side. So, I am just missing the two medium bad characters and Funkorogotchi. Not bad! I'll continue trying to figure this out.

Here is Chobitamatchi....he's so tiny!

It's been a nice relaxing and productive weekend. I have made some good reeds and gotten a lot of practicing done. I'm a little unsure of what I will play at my next audition so I am trying to keep it all worked up for when the time comes. My excerpts and etudes are all decided, but it's the solo that I might switch. My teacher is out for the next couple of weeks because the Cleveland Orchestra is on tour. So, we will be having a few lessons with a different person. I always enjoy having lessons with someone different because they tend to pick up on things that don't get addressed since they are hearing you for the first time. I look forward to new insight and direction :)

I found the perfect place for Tongaritchi to sit while I'm in class so I can keep an eye on him...

Here are a few pictures of the gang listening to me practice and working on reeds with me. I am glad that they are so interested in what I do...they never complain from boredom ;)

Yes, that is Ginji Angel! You may recall that I never exactly disclosed what happened with him. Well, the truth is that he was just too high maintenance to care for. I know that sounds bad, but I'm completely serious. He called for attention every 5 minutes and that's not an exaggeration. I even left him for long periods of time without caring for him and he still stuck around. So because of this, I just left him on pause for a long time. I couldn't bring myself to put the tab in on him or reset him though, so frozen in time he stayed. I eventually decided I needed to try harder to let him live out his life. I pretty much just cared for him whenever I could, but didn't go out of my way to check on him constantly because that just wasn't something I could do. He made it to 19 years of age, which is quite old for an Angel. He finally met his end a couple of nights ago when I thought I had paused him, but really had just turned the sound off. (I was a little tipsy in my defense). So, I checked on him the next morning and he was making that sad face. He then left, saying "Thanks!" He really was around a long time and I'll miss him....but I am a bit relieved that he is gone now. Poor guy.

Chobitamatchi wound up leaving at 7 years of age. It's really crazy how fast the Morinos can be gone. I had just checked on him, went to the restroom and came back and he was gone. I was sad to see him go for sure. I now have an Imotchi and we will see what happens with him :)

As for Tongaritchi, he finally evolved today! I was a little nervous that I wouldn't get Mimitchi because I accidentally let his hearts drop down to 2 empty a couple of times. I got his discipline bar completely full though, and that was enough. He changed into Mimitchi during the previews of Lala Land. I happened to look down at him before the theater went completely dark and there he was! So, Mimitchi got to watch the whole movie with me :) and so did Imotchi. I really enjoyed the movie, by the way.

This is the perfect shell for him because Mimitchi himself is painted on the top!

Now I'm waiting for Emily to get back to school so she can take me to get food...I'm so hungry.
