Kuchikid's (Sporadic) Log

I am at a cross-roads. I'm the kind of Tamagotchi owner who takes out their Tamagotchi every couple months and then turns them off again, so I don't really know whether or not starting a solo log is a good idea. Nevertheless, I will do it.

This log is a continuation from the V4 group hatch here (https://www.tamatalk.com/IB/topic/194842-connection-v4-group-log), since it seems to be dead.

I'll catch you up to speed with a family tree from both my V4 and V4.5:

Cyril and Alma both grew into teenagers today. I was hoping I wouldn't get a Universal character on my V4.5 again, but I'll see what happens...

Cyril's skills are 20/29/28 with weight of 21lbs.
Alma's are 18/5/20 with weight of 16lbs.

So... Two days went by. I'm probably only going to be posting when my Tamas evolve, since those are the kind of updates I most like to see when I read logs.

Anyhow, Alma is now a Ponytchi. She evolved with skills of 66/5/20, weight 16, and training 4.

Cyril evolved into Kuchipatchi with skills of 29/71/29, weight 21, and training 5.
I'm torn. Kuchipatchi is my favourite character, but I'm tired of getting Universals. My last three Tamagotchis on my V4.5 were Universals, and I'm taking about the same care of them as I am my V4s.
Fortunately, the Universals are typically cuter than the Ura Tamagotchis.

Anyhow, they'll be getting married (possibly tomorrow, but I might wait until they're oldies) so that I can hopefully shake up the family on my V4.5 and start over. I feel like the Universal characters are passing it onto the next generation.

What do you think? Should they get married ASAP or wait until they're oldies so I can start everything anew?

There's not a lot going on with Alma and Cryil right now. I'll be waiting for them to become oldies before mating them.

Alma applied to be a scientist, but got rejected. She was accepted as a doctor, though, which concerns me greatly if she isn't even qualified to do something that DOESN'T put someone's life at risk...

Cyril got rejected as a singer, but accepted as a florist. I LOVE the florist game.

They'll be marrying as soon as they age up, I think.

In news unrelated to Alma or Cyril, I've placed some bids on groups of broken Japanese Tamagotchis. I've always wanted to poke around inside a Tamagotchi, but I was too afraid to use working ones. Hopefully, I can put at least one of them back together, but it's still an interesting experience and a good source of replacement parts if not (and they're not very expensive). I think the Japanese models have similar bodies to the English ones.

If I manage to actually salvage one, I'll be extremely pleased with myself and it will immediately become my favourite Tamagotchi, but there's no guarantee I'll even be the highest bidder. I really hate bidding.

So a lot happened since I last posted, but most of it was in the last day...

First, Cyril got a new job at a bakery yesterday...

But both Alma and Cyril aged up today, so he didn't have much time to work there:

And they finally got married!

Their firstborn (who stayed with Alma) is named Percival and their second (who stayed with Cyril) is named Elias.

And here's the big family tree! I already know what Percy and Elias will become, so I'll just update it ahead of time.

I'm really hoping that these twin Oyajitchis will shake up the family groups...

So Alma and Cyril left Percy (V4) and Elias (V4.5)...

And they grew into Oyajitchis after an hour.

The same day, both of them were expected to get jobs, but they both got rejected from every single one (but, to be fair, would you hire a newborn?).

I don't have photos, but Percy ended up eventually finding a job as a Florist (like his dad) and Elias became a chef.

It's been awhile (I've been busy with work), but CAN SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME HOW PERCY TURNED INTO A MIMITCHI!?

How is that even possible? I've NEVER had an adult Tamagotchi turn into a DIFFERENT adult Tamagotchi, let alone one of the opposite gender!

I'm messing with you, of course. That's Percy's wife. They had a son named Reyeun.

And Elias got married, too. They had a daughter named Pearl.

Because it's been awhile, they've already left their kids. They haven't grown into children yet. REALLY hoping to get something other than a Universal on my V4.5.

So some things happened...

Remember how I said I didn't want universals this time around? Well that didn't work out... To be fair, I had an accident with Reyeun that probably caused this. I left him at home for nine hours as a child because I accidentally set the time to 8am instead of 8pm... oops! Just glad he didn't die. All's well that ends well, right?

Whatever. I still like them -- I just really hope that Pearl becomes anything other than Memetchi.

Reye and Pearl evolved today!

Reye made it out of the Universal family and Pearl ended up being a good-care Universal character!

They were playing today, and it's really nice to have characters that can be seen on either version.

Oh, well. I guess Tamagotchis don't really have genetic and immune system disorders, so they might end up mating anyway... my biggest concern would be that my V4.5 would get yet another generation of Universals.

Pearl: 137/27/24 skills, 6 training, 30lbs (much healthier than 0...)

I found out today that Reye has the ball glitch. I don't know what to do. Should I reset him? I don't like this glitch at all, but I don't just want to kill him. Maybe I'll wait for him to get old enough to mate with Pearl and then reset him, so that he at least lives on in spirit.

This seems to be a pretty strong version of the glitch, since he can't even eat the balls (or anything other than the default meals), so I just want to end it ASAP. I was planning on mating them this Thursday, though...

UPDATE: He was just full. He CAN, in fact, eat the balls. I'll see if he can just eat them until they're gone.

When I went too far in the menu, this happened, and I had to download him.

At least Pearl enjoyed her day, even if her makeup looks incredibly ugly:

She got a job as a Kindergarten teacher (and I found out I HATE that mini-game because it's way too long).

What do you guys think I should do about Reye? I really don't want to keep a glitched Tamagotchi, but I've raised so many generations now.

Oops. I didn't even give a new picture of Reye. He's not dead -- just sick. Here's him fishing.

EDIT: I also forgot their stats. I got so flustered by this glitch.

Thanks, and it's a V4 glitch where all your special foods are replaced by Balls, and the entire Food menu becomes a glitchy mess.

Reyeun and Pearl finally mated!

Lucky went with Pearl and Chance went with Reye.

Sadly, Reye and I decided it would be better for him to raised Chance in TamaTown, where people aren't expected to eat Balls for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The two of them left just after Chance's birth, and I wish them well.

I was away for the weekend (I went home -- I've been away on a co-op position all summer), so Rey and Lucky were paused. I did, however, pick up the Entama from Japan that I had shipped home.

Before I left, Rey grew up:

He joined the fashion school, but I have no picture.

I started my Entama and got a baby boy in the Memezoku family. His name is... something I can't pronounce. I'm going to call him Odie. I'm probably not going to raise his child once he has one (I might not even raise him all the way). Three Tamagotchis is probably too much right now, and I'm planning on participating in a group hatch that starts soon. I just really want to try out my new Entama.

Also today, Odie graduated kindergarten (I wasn't expecting a graduation ceremony to happen because I've never had an Entama before, so I don't have any photos -- it was cool, though). He became a Gourmetchi:
